Ok well I’m about to head out to meet Amber for the BL registration and weigh in. I’m so nervous!! I weighed here at home and came in at 177.2. I bet thier scales are not going to be so generous! Scary!

Well, I weighed in at 180. Not too bad..I knew thier scales weren’t as generous as mine…lol But thats ok. It’s a starting place. We were also offered a spot in the local paper for them to follow our team through this journey. Interesting huh!
Just got in from spending the day in New Orleans walking around the French Quarter and visiting the Auqarium. Had a great time and ate out for 2 meals today. But I have to say, I did great!! Pat myself on the back! I not only ordered good healthy food but had the waitress bring a go box with my order and immediately halved all my food and boxed up one portion and ate the other only till I was full. Haven’t snacked or had junk food all day!!! The only fried food I had was fried pickles. (4) Walked a total of almost 6 miles!!!!

Went for a long and fun little walk by the creek at the campgroud near my house this afternoon while it was somewhat warmer. If you can call 42* warm!! lol It was so fun and invigorating. I didn’t get my c25k done today, it was just too cold for running..I tried though. My lungs and nose were burning from the cold. I was able to complete the first run and it was just too cold for me and my 3 yr old nephew (he was in the jogging stroller)So, if anyone has any tips for this …let me know!!!
Food was OK today..could’ve done better but I have done worse so no worries. Water was great…like 9 bottles. My bum is still sore from the bike ride..geez.
Biggest Loser Challenge registration is in the morning!!! I’m nervous!!
My muscles are SORE from the c25k run yesterday. I rode a bike today…omg it hurt! But in a good way sort of…the seat was hurting in a not so good way…note to self..look for wider seats at the sporting goods store. lol
Food has been great and so has my water intake. I didn’t get in a walk this morning because frankly I didn’t feel like it. It was too bitterly cold and I wasn’t up for it and freezing my buns off. Unfortunately, it’s supposed to be the same for tomorrow but I will definately get my c25k run in. And Saturday will be the Biggest Loser challenge registration and weigh in…and I’m nervous! I have a problem of not following through on things and this is a challenge for myself not just for weight loss. But I am changing my life here not just trying something new. It involves everything not just food and exercise.
I haven’t eaten after dinner in 4 days..whoo hoo.
Well I did my training today. OMG! I totally didn’t realize how truely out of shape I am. GEEZ. So I’m thinking that I will be aiming for the Celebration in the Oaks in December instead of the CCC in April which is 6.2 miles. Sounds alot more attainable. This Saturday Amber and I are signing up for the Biggest Loser contest at the local fitness center. Should be fun! Got on the scale today and I’m down 2 lbs!! WHOO HOO!!!
Calories have been in the good range today..around 1468. Water intake pretty good too at about 7 bottles of water today. My C25K training today was a brisk five minute walking warmup followed by eight sets of 60 second interval runs. A 90 second recovery will follow each interval and finishing up with a 5 minute cool down. OUCH! I did it but only halfway through. So I only did 4 of the 8. Thinking it may be best to stick to week one till I am able to finish it up correctly. Just take it easy and build endurance.
My daughter is heart broken. Her little boyfriend broke up with her. So, of course I have been cool and let her have the day off from doing the dishes and folding towels. I remember that terrible ache of the first boy breaking my heart and how you think it’s the worst day ever. Unfortunatley this is only the first of her worst days ever. Well that’s all for tonight.

Woke up at 5am. WTF! I had an extra 45 minutes but oh well. Got up and got the elixer of life going. (that’s my coffee in case you didn’t know) I got my walk in this morning but no matter what I just couldn’t get my butt in gear. I drug it around all day and finally took a nap with my nephew.
Food has been pretty good all day, could have had more water but hey, it was still a great day! Got a good deal at a junk store on a jogging stroller. Ya know those three wheeled thingys. It’s a wonderful invention!!! So much more control over it than the little umbrella stroller we were using!
I want to sign up for the Crecent City Classic in New Orleans so I am gonna start the C25k tomorrow. Will post my progress here. Wish me luck!!
Gotta sick kid home today. Didn’t get any exercise in today. Over indulged on healthy food..lol Is that called a “healthy binge”?? It’s been 10 days into my 30 day challenge for walking and I am already up to almost 24 miles out of 75. Not too bad. Got to get back on track tomorrow.

Whew it’s almost the weekend!! I can’t wait! I have been babysitting my 3 yr old nephew and boy is that a JOB!! My kids are alot older and can do everything for themselves and I’m really appreciating that today.
I’ve done good on my food and walking…but I need to find some good upper body workouts as well. I can barley walk this afternoon. My muscles are SO freakin sore. I’m totally out of shape and am realizing now just how bad.
Well, my daughter, you know the one who thinks I’m UN-COOL..lol…she has had her first kiss. UGH. I’m not prepared for this. I knew she had a little boyfriend and he’s a cutie and sweet too. But I was NOT prepared..where was my brain?? I think reality is starting to sink in that she really is growing up. She’s 14 and will be 15 in Sept. SCARY!! So when she was telling me all about it after school I really hope she didn’t see how close I was to being sick..lol Well there goes my dinner… not hungry.
As for food, I don’t feel like typing it all in today. but I did great! Just take my word for it.
Ok I’m going to drink some coffee and read my magazine! Toodles.
I’m sick to death of the rain!!! Everything is muddy and it’s kinda hard to get out and walk. BUT I DID IT!!! I’m currenetly babysitting my 3 yr old nephew and boy is that a wake up call. I am SO glad that for the most part my kids are capable of doing most things themselves!!!! Chasing after him today was a workout in it self! I did get to walk and jog a little today with him and his stroller. Almost 2 miles!!
Well I watched the season premier for The Biggest Loser…it was good. And HOLY SHIT did it look hard!!! But in the end it’s so worth the hard work. It has made me realize that those people have busted thier asses to be on the show and lost a ton of weight just during the first week. That’s dedication and determination! I need BOTH! It’s a choice!
Well I choose to be thinner and healthier! I exercised during every single commercial of the 2 hour show. I don’t know how many calories I burned but I sweated my bum off!

Went to my father in laws on Sunday…grrr I have a hard time staying on plan there. Too much rich, heavy foods. But I did pretty well till about 9pm after we were home. I was starving…but so was everyone else. We had dinner at 5pm and we usually eat at around 7pm at home. UGHH. Needless to say we ate AGAIN! I felt like a total ass afterwards because I could have eaten a small salad or some fruit and would have been just fine. But NoOo…the kids wanted McDonalds happy meals. And I caved. :(
Lesson learned… NO LATE NITE MEALS and stay home some Sundays when hubby and kids go to the in-laws to have some me time and eat better.

A big THANK YOU goes to my friend Amber! I was sitting around doing nothing today, it had rained most of the day, and she encouraged me to get off my bum and go walking. It was so nice! Everything was washed clean from the rain and the birds were chirping. Very invigorating! And I got in 2.25 miles!! GO ME!! That’s 2 days in a row walking…and a total of 6.25 miles. My legs feel like jello!!
I think I will start a fitness page here on my blog. Just track my exercise and maybe add a weight loss tracker. I didn’t do too bad on my food today. But I have noticed that since the kids have been home for the holidays that my lunch choices aren’t very good at all. I know that once they go back to school I will better control my lunches. Now, if I can only stop snacking at night…. I vow not to snack tonight! It’s a start right?!
