Well it’s busy as heck around here. Haven’t had time to blog. But it looks like things may be slowing down a bit now. I’ve officially lost 10 pounds!!!! I was soo excited to see it on the scales that I weighed several times to make sure..lol I have also lost almost 2% body fat according to NC BF checker thingy.

Amber and I were unable to do the race Saturday due to thunderstorms so we are planning on doing another one next month. On Saturdays I plan on running the stadium stairs. Last time they kicked my tail!! Was an excellent workout thogh.

Last week I thought my body was all out of wack, no matter what or how often I ate I was completely starving to death. Any one else ever experience this? HELP!

Will update later today…need to finish getting kids ready for school and I have a massage to do today as well.

UPDATE: Got in my walk/run. Food was pretty good though I probably could have done without the yummy as sin yogurt dipped pretzels.  LOL

It’s been a while…

But I’m back! Think I just needed a break from so much computer time! (ya know??) Anyways, I’m here now and ready to get back in to my blogging!

Well, week 4 for the Biggest Loser was this past week and I lost 3 pounds for a total of 7 pounds lost! woohoo! Sadly, I have only lost about .7% body fat and thats the main focus of the contest!!! WTF?!?! I have busted my ass to lose bf and I’m just maintaining now! GRR guess it’s time to pump it up some!! Amber and I were featured in the local paper for our story and made it on the front page!! Pretty cool!! She is quite the shizzle! Just gotta love her!!

As for my food..I’ve done pretty damn good with only 2-3 very small oopsies. I’m beginning to not crave sweets and junk food. Even some of my favorite dishes don’t seem as appetizing anymore. I’d say that’s progress people!! So I guess eating cleaner isn’t so bad after all. I just need to learn some new recipes to change it up a little. Same old stuff gets boring after a while.

Ok well thats my update for now. Gotta get off here and go look for a job….ugh. My nephew is going home in 2 weeks so there goes that gig.

Haven’t been feeling well this week. Still getting in my walking/ running but just feel bleh! The puppy is doing well. I haven’t had much of an appetite so food hasn’t been great but definately still eating good healthy food just not in large quantities.

Biggest Loser Week 1

WOOHOO!! I’m down 1 pound!!!  And Amber is a “loser” too!!! I was a little nervous because I busted my butt all week and was so worried I didn’t lose!! I have to tell ya..I feel GREAT!! The running, eating healthy and other exercise is really having positive results!  HAPPY DANCE!! It’s that time of the month as of this afternoon (I call it BOB..lol no reason its just silly). I will have to work hard this week not to give in to those cravings and stick to my healthy lifestyle change.

My puppy (Luke Skywalker) is doing ok. He ate and drank today and even went potty. He seems to be doing really good for a puppy who was run over 3 days ago. I will look for some pics of him and post them tomorrow.

Thank goodness! I picked up my baby from the vet yesterday afternoon. Both his hips are broke, his pelvis is fractured and his bladder is bruised but he will be ok and walk again. He is my heart and I am so thankful that he is ok! Thanks to those of you who inquired about him!!

I’ve been getting in my exercising and walks. Food has been great and water too. I’ve been craving icecream like a crack-addict!! LOL So, I found some frozen yogurt YUMMM!!!

Well I finished week 1. What a rush to know I did it!!! So in 2 days I will begin Week2 Day1…anxious! Not feeling great tonight…my puppy was run over and is in the vet hospital overnight and I won’t know the details of what all is wrong or anything till tomorrow. He is like one of my kids and I am so sad tonight.

Inauguration Day

One of the biggest moments in history was made today and I totally missed it..lol My 3 yr old nephew (DN) was too busy watching Sponge Bob Square Pants Marathon! That too was VERY important! It was so cold and windy today in the low 40’s I was a little concerned about getting out with DN to go walking/running. Instead, I did a workout dvd while he took a nap.

Food was pretty good again today as well as the water intake. I even sat here thinking that surely I had missed adding something in…but no! I just did that darn good! WooHoo! I even had some frozen chocolate yogurt…YUMM. I’m definately doing better having several small meals through out the day. Still having trouble with crappy food cravings but I’m holding strong for now.

Went to Tickfaw State Park for some hiking/exercising. Got in 4 miles! The kids and I had a blast! We got a little worried at the “Do NOT Feed The Alligators” sign. YIKES!!

Food has been great and water too! This is getting to be a habit. But the temptation is horrendous! The family is slowly barely tolerating the healthier foods. My fault for feeding the crap to them all these years!

Woo Hoo I did it!!! Holy crap what a rush! I am totally beat but I completed Day 2! WOW! Plus I got in my regular walk so it would all total up to 3 miles! I have to stick to it for myself and for my BL team mate Amber! We are counting on one another to lose and get healthy.

Today was just a lazy Sunday. We all just chilled and had a nice day. I did the weekly grocery shopping…lots of fruits and veggies! I have done well so far today. Great on water and food. 1380 in calories and 8 bottles of water so far.

Ok well I’m about to head out to meet Amber for the BL registration and weigh in. I’m so nervous!! I weighed here at home and came in at 177.2. I bet thier scales are not going to be so generous! Scary!

I will update as soon as I get back. Today’s post will be ongoing as I have a busy day and evening planned out so stay tuned!! LOL

Well, I weighed in at 180. Not too bad..I knew thier scales weren’t as generous as mine…lol But thats ok. It’s a starting place. We were also offered a spot in the local paper for them to follow our team through this journey. Interesting huh!

Just got in from spending the day in New Orleans walking around the French Quarter and visiting the Auqarium. Had a great time and ate out for 2 meals today. But I have to say, I did great!! Pat myself on the back! I not only ordered good healthy food but had the waitress bring a go box with my order and immediately halved all my food and boxed up one portion and ate the other only till I was full. Haven’t snacked or had junk food all day!!!  The only fried food I had was fried pickles. (4) Walked a total of almost 6 miles!!!!
