Just the kick in the ass that I needed…:)
Ok, so I think I’ve stopped taking good care of myself. I wound up in the hospital last night after driving 5 hours with the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. They admitted immediately which was scary because you usually you have a atleastĀ a 2 hour wait before you see a doctor. I was whisked up to X-ray and told to pee in about 4 cups. Ummm….Can someone tell me whats going on? lol SO, then I finally get sat down with a doctor and told you have kidney stones on the move and your gallbladder is kicking your ass. LOVELY.
So, I’ve turned down anytype of surgury for the kidney stones and also refused to have my gallbladder removed. I’ve decided I need to take better care of myself and stop eating foods high in fats and processed food as well. I’m on a high dose of antibiotics because of an elevated white blood cell count in my urine, meaning I have a bladder infection and I’m so constipated they gave me a flush to.
I hate to say it, but I’m really happy I’ve been given this information. Now it’s “REAL” and I have to take action and control over my eating.
I think it’s a blessing in disguise so I’m running with this information and I made an appointment with a dietician and a councelor. The ball is in motion and I’m on the mend. Rounding the bend and I’m going to make up for my lack of effort on the straight away!
For supper, I cleaned out and fixed up a chicken. I stuffed it with onion and ginger plus a lil southern comfort for a kick.
Hopefully I can use the carcus to make some chicken soup! YUM! haha I’ve decided to eliminate pork and beef from my diet..It might help.
I feel strangely optimistic for someone who is on antibiotics and over the counter pain meds. lol Yeehaw!
Happy Tuesday, Chicks!
Have a great day.

geez when I have kidney stones, I can barely do anything but curl up in a ball and cry! Amazing you can be so chipper and functional! There are 3 types of kidney stones, but for all three, you better plan on the rest of your life having at least 80 oz. a day of water. Other liquids do not count towards that. water, water, water more night, and don’t stop for bedtime. Yes, plan on 2-3 trips to the loo overnight, every night. You need to see a urologist, too. Did they give you a strainer to catch any stones? They need to analyze them in a lab to determine which type of stones you have, so they can suit your diet to that type. If it’s uric-goodbye lots of meat and ALCOHOL. Calcium stones are the most prevalent, though. But again, they’ll need you to catch the stone to analyze it. Stones can be as small as a grain or sand, or as large as a big kernel of popcorn. Did they do a CAT scan to give you a size guesstimate? How many did they notice? Good luck!!! If you are having or have blood in the urine, that just indicates the stone(s) are irritating your urinary tract. :: hugs ::
Ugh, i hope you feel better
When I first started losing weight, I gave up beef and pork and realized that I couldn’t eat half of what i used to binge on. Lost 50lbs during that time. I went about 2 and a half years before I started eating it again…but I’m so used to not eating it, that I don’t even crave it anymore.
Get well!
Oh dear!!! Take good care of yourself Hun!!
hahah I have to strain every time I urinate. So far the pain is moving down at a steady pace so I know something is on the move. Forgive me for being graphic but it went from being in my mid left back to almost having pain in my labial area. I’m in for a bad couple of days. Today was horrible (and still is). I have been having some blood but that is a recent development which makes sense as the stone moves. Urine is also a darker color but I have a feeling that is from my antibiotics. I woke up to get some tea and hit the sack. I’ve developed a bit of a fever and I’m freezing my rump off. haha Go figs.
make sure you take care of yourself……big hugs
