I felt light as a feather….

September 13th, 2008

….after I fit into a size 4 at Gap.  I have never been a size 4 — ever!  I am actually beaming.  I am going out with a friend tomorrow night and I am going to show off my new size 4 jeans.  I can’t freaking believe it!  This is such a huge milestone for me; I just had to share.  I have to admit, I actually feel really good about myself when I look into a mirror these days.  I mean, I used to love, but absolutely dread shopping.  Now I just love to try on clothes to see how they look.  Things I would never have attempted to put on years ago because my back is too wide or because the print makes me look bigger.

I don’t think I have ever been so confident.  The other great thing is that I am not having headaches anymore, as of today.

Hey congratulations on the size 4! I could never imagine that. Maybe someday :) Also I am really happy you aren’t having headaches anymore. Did they rule out West Nile?

Thanks, Jess! I have never worn anything below a size 8. I am pretty sure I was born a size 8. It really just proved to me that all the years I was telling myself I couldn’t lose weight because of my “large” bone structure was crap. Oh, well, it helped me sleep better at night.

They never got back to me about the West Nile, but whatever it was, my mom had too. We think Baby Boy gave it to us the day he projectile vomited on both of us. I think it was the two times I watched The Exorcist when I was prego with him.

Lol that is so funny. I had never seen that movie until a couple of years ago. I am sucha wuss, it scared the crap out of me :) I remember watching The Exorcism of Emily Rose? I think. That one was really creepy too.

Well I am glad you are feeling better.

Hey, thanks for the nice comments in my blog! In answer to your questions about exercise — running and biking have definitely been my mainstays! I tried to add strength training but just haven’t been able to summon up enough enthusiasm for it. It became a “chore” which is counter-productive for me, so I decided to just do what I love and not sweat the small stuff!

Your first 5k sounds like it will be a blast!
