Monday Monday

the-girls-at-wedding.jpgHello blogmates! Photo is of my DH at her wedding with my DH Rachel (in pink) and my niece (in red). Yes I’m still very busy.  The village approved our Farmers Market and we are planning an intensive publicity campaign with balloons, mesh shopping bags, pamphlets and posters.  We have a big festival here the weekend of July 12-13 where we will hand out balloons for the parade and ask for donations for the shopping bags.  It’s all very exciting.  Opening date is Saturday, July 19th.

Weight-wise I’m losing little by little.  I walked 10 miles this weekend and have been going to the fitness center doing water aerobics and trying to swim laps against the jet.  It’s tough.

I’m finding it a bit of a challenge to find a good balance between time spent doing all that I want to do and time with my DH.  He was sulking a bit last week because he felt neglected.  Also he wants to take a long trip on the motor cycle and I’m reluctant.  I’m not sure my butt and knees can take much more than an hour at a time and I did not want to go on a major highway with BIG TRUCKS.  We comprimized and are going to head out this Thursday up to the Thousand Islands on back roads.  We’ll see how it goes.

  1. She was a beautiful bride!!!

What’s this about a farmers market??? Do you have a new job???

I’d not want to be in traffic on a mc up against those big trucks either; I’m with you.

  2. Lovely picture, Lyn. And good luck with the market opening - it sure sounds like you’re enjoying that a lot! Hah! I’d like to see DH TRY to get me on some long motorcycle trip on some busy highway. Sounds like your compromise is a good one - if you stop for a break regularly. I can tell you MY butt wouldn’t take too much of that.
    Hugs,

  3. I agree, lovely picture. The market sounds fabulous and fun and worthwhile. You are an inspiration. Good job on the exercise and on the compromising!

  4. Great pic!

Weight loss little by little is better than gaining. Be proud!

  5. Very nice picture. Both your daughters look awesome. I read all the back posts today. Congratulations on such a lovely wedding.

I think back roads would be more scenic and if you stop regularly, perhaps it would be good. Also highways are not only risky but boring.

The farmers’ market sounds really good.

    lots of love,

    iniya
