Marching on
Will March ever end? I can’t beleive it’s only the “Ides of March” tomorrow. I recovered from the flu and am back to work as of Tuesday. The snow is trying hard to melt, but our driveway still looks like the pitted frozen tundra.
I managed to lose 2 pounds and keep it off this week, thanks to the flu.
Tomorrw Len and I will be driving to the PA state border to our choir director’s cabin and maple sugaring house. He invited the choir down to enjoy the backwoods (maybe cross country ski) and help with the maple sugaring. On the way we intend to hit this place called “The Maple Tree Inn” which is only open Feb - April for their famous buckwheat pancakes and real maple syrup. I’ll need to do a lot of hiking or skiing to balance this feast.
So 10 more working days until RETIREMENT!!!

Omigawd. Ten days! That’s sooooo unbelievable! Girl, did you ever believe you’d be “old enough” to retire, but still be young enough to cross-country ski? Talk about the best of both worlds! I’m happy for your two pounds gone. Seems like being sick ought to be of SOME benefit, after all, huh?
Tah,
Z
Wow - retirement - how wonderful is that? All that hard work and now you really get to have a fantastic time!
The maple joint sounds absolutely mouth watering….
I can’t wait to hear how it went!
Take care
Wow! The thought of retirement is almost more mouthwatering that maple syrup.
Ms. Ells is right. It is so good to have time and health in your hand.
Hope you enjoy your feast and skiing a lot.
love,
iniya
Man, how exciting…congratulations on the 2lbs, too. It sounds lovely to be going off to the back woods, and skiing and sugar mapleing.
I’m happy for you - let us know what it was like!
