Sunny Wednesday

Wow…how great to look out and see NO CLOUDS and BLUE SKIIES! It’s still cold (low 20s) but the sun really lifts my mood.  I just had one of my favorite lunches that they have here occasionally in the cafeteria….baked salmon on top of a green salad with a few croutons, black beans and a great fruity dressing.  Tonite I will finish up the chicken chili.  I am off to do strength training.  Yesterday I did 40 minutes on the eliptical and 10 minutes of ab work.  Can you say Motivated?  Yes, finally I am.  The gain of 4.8 pounds at my TOPs weigh-in was a wake-up call.  Of course I hadn’t weighed in since Jan 21st, so that gain is over about a month, but still!! To top it off, I was the only one who gained last week.

Glad to say that my DD (Rachel)is doing well in school so far. (In her Jr. year of college after several breaks).  Her play is coming up next weekend (”Dancing at Lughnasa”) or something like that….Irish play about 5 sisters and she is one of the sisters. Merril Streep was in the movie version.  That’s the play I had to teach her how to knit for as she knits the whole time she is on-stage.  Also, she just got rave reviews for a piece in her creative writing class.  Personally, I think her greatest talent is writing.  But she still wants to act.  Anyway, I am relieved for the time being.

Well, off to the gym mateys

  1. Great job on the exercise! The sun is Wonderful today. We got 5 inches of snow last night, but as long as I can see some sunshine I don’t mind so much.

  2. Hearing you have 20’s makes me feel a bit better about my 40’s.

Tell Rachel to “break a leg”.
