Back Amoung the Living

I was sick for the past 4 days or so.  Had a cough that metamorphed into a full-blown chest cold with fever and chills and no voice etc.  I hadn’t been this sick in a few years or so, so guess I was due.  Spent all day Sunday in a sleepy haze having very odd dreams.  Then took yesterday off from work and shleped around the house in my nightgown until 6:00 when I went to TOPs and weighed in with a 3.5 pound loss.  Woopie.  At least this gives me an 11 pound loss for the year!

Back to work today, still coughing a bit and lethargic as hell, but on a scale of 1-10 am about a 5 so I should make it through the day.  Have to teach a new employee safety class this afternoon so I hope my voice holds out.

DH and DD left for NYC yesterday afternoon so I have 3 days to myself.  Now this is a real treat.  I plan to change into my comfy sweats when I get home, make a nice cup of tea, and live on what-ever left-overs I can find that don’t take too much energy to throw together.  Hope to get my wrapping done.

So long for now.

  1. Glad you’re on your way to feeling better! I am so jealous of your alone time. It seems like if I ever get time to myself, it’s not at home where I can lounge and putter. Enjoy it!

  2. Glad to hear you’re feeling better! I have not wrapped a single thing yet…

  3. Hope you’re feeling better! Enjoy your time alone. I know what you mean about needing that sometimes.
Take Care…I’m sending you mental vibes of chicken soup….

  4. Ohhhhh! No fair! ANOTHER few days to yourself???? I am soooooo jealous! Oh, well. You’ve been sick. I guess I can give a dispensation for someone in recovery from such a rotten cold. That, and because I happen to like you lots. Enjoy your “down” time - we women just don’t get enough of it - ever. Oh, snow as far as the eye can see here, too. Ack!!

  5. Glad you are feeling a bit better; I can personally attest to the fact that there are some NASTY bugs out there this year.

Congrats on the wt. loss and enjoy your time alone—rest up!
