Got a call from my oldest DD, Sarah, last night and she is officially engaged! He gave her the ring last night for “dessert”. She sounds very happy and I’m happy for both of them, but also a little aprehensive. He works as a computer help desk operator and tends to spend a lot of time on the computer outside of work as well. He is not as socially outgoing as Sarah, but maybe they will be a good balance for each other. Anyway, no definite idea of a date or place yet for the wedding. I’m hoping for a long engagement. Don’t get me wrong - I’m so happy for her - just being a cautious mom I guess.

Well Congratulations Dear Lady! That is Big News. I do understand the apprehension though, I get the same way myself, and I suppose it’s pretty common for parents. I would be hoping for a long engagement too.
