Getting Serious

Ok, this sneaky snacking has got to STOP NOW! My weight is inching up as my motivation has been sliding down. I’ve put a little toy train next to my computer that has a sticky on it that says..”On Track?”. Today I’m going back to my basic WW points and will exercise during my lunch hour. NO MORE GIRL SCOUT COOKIES< DONUT HOLES< ETC…These were sneaking into my daily routine and their results are no showing on my scale. I don’t want to undo all of the great weight-loss I acheived so far this year.
THERE. I’m off and running again!

hmmmm I’m wondering if there is anything you can do to clean up your environment, to not have the girl scout cookies, donut holes, etc in the house or in sight? I do a lot better when I don’t have that stuff around. And when it is around, I generally “taste” a little and then a little more. I’ve been known to throw out perfectly good cakes, cookies, pies and pour tabasco all over them in the trash can (just in case!). Is is wasting food? Not really, it’s not exactly healthy nutrition if I eat it, just calories wasted on me, I’d rather they be in the trash.
Just an idea, you’ve done really well this year, keep it up!
Oooh. I LIKE the little train idea! Well, it may or may not help to know that you are SO not alone in your struggle to stay on track. This stuff is rough, eh? But we’ll get there. I KNOW we will. We’re too unhappy with the alternatives. You’ve done great, and you’ll do great again!

To answer your quest. on my blog—Ann put a challenge to lodyangel to lose 5 by the end of Nov. and I just kind of invited myself along…..maybe it’s the competition angle, I don’t know—never thought of myself as being very ‘cut throat’ but it’s working sooooooo far (about a week). Probably it’s just having others aiming for a specific number with me. Plus, I’m jealous of Baileysmama who lost a whopping 12 lb. last month!!!
