A Quick Note and Some photos

My daughtersThe weekend was terrific with my daughter, Sarah.  We laughed a lot at the Pirates of Penzance - the play was exceptional and by DH was pretty funny.  He walked around with a stuffed parrot on his shoulder and by the end of the second act the parrot keeled over and looked quite dead.  Sarah seemed so grown up and self-confident compared to the last time I saw her.  How does that happen?  I was pleased that she and Rachel had some time to talk as they have grown apart recently with Sarah being so far away.  My diet was non-existant we all went out after the play and that was on top of dinner before the play.  Sunday was a community turkey raffle and appliacne auction complete with lots of sausages, potatoes, pasta etc.  Weigh-in may be bad tonite.

Anyway I tried to get a good photo of my 2 DDs, but couldn’t get one with both of their eyes open….  Rachel is on the left and Sarah on the right.

  1. The girls are lovely, Lyn…you have every right to be proud. You may recall my saying that I have three girls - and my son, of course. Each is totally and completely different. How do they manage that, do you suppose - being raised by the same parents in the same setting, etc., etc??? Clever, aren’t they? You sound like you’ve caught the same bug as me….motivation-wise, I mean. I didn’t count anything while I was away. Didn’t eat outrageously by any means, but took a break from measuring, counting, calculating and all that hoopla. If the way my clothes feel is any realistic indication, I don’t think I gained anything much, but I needed a break, took it, and am still sort of taking it. Having a tough time climbing back aboard the wagon, and here come the darned holidays - Thanksgiving less than two weeks away. I plan do do the best I can. Period. I want to lose another eighteen pounds, but I’m actually okay with it if it takes me a year! And you - why YOU deserve to eat something yummy, don’t you? All that construction work for charity? If you don’t deserve to treat yourself well, I sure don’t know who does…you’re probably burning up everything you eat, anyway. You’re SO much more active than I am!
Have a great night, and hope to see you in Blogville again soon!

  2. Lyn, I don’t know how I missed this post. Your daughters are lovely. It is amazing how different our children all turn out to be, amazing and quite wonderful…I get a little heartsore sometimes if I think the girls are disconnecting. Jessica and Roseanne have been at each others throats this year…stilll sharing a bedroom, borrowing clothing and all that. Glad you shared this photo of your beautiful girls……RubyJean
