A little success
Sorry for this, I’m probably going to give you more information that you really ever needed to know. It made me happy so I thought I would write about it (feminine ‘issues’ on the horizon - you have been warned!).
My change in diet and decision to lose weight was not just because it would make me generally healthier it was also to help me manage my pcos (polycystic ovary syndrome for those that don’t know of it). I have a read a fair amount of literature, particularly one very helpful book, all of which assure me that the symptoms of pcos can be managed through a change in diet. So I changed my diet.
One of the symptoms is irregular or a complete lack of periods. In my case I don’t think I’ve had more than 4 periods in the last 5 years. Understandably I’ve been a little concerned because I really would like to have children one day. Even if that means suffering from a fairly crippling level of pain once a month for 3 days. Anyway so here is the good bit: Only one week after changing my diet I’ve got my period, I’ve got the curse, aunt flow has come to visit, I’m riding the crimson wave etc. etc. so as I said I’m pleased
Go me and my ovaries!
