The Meeting…

The meeting went fine last night.  I weighed in and found that my scale at home gives me the same weight…so I wasn’t too surprised.  It wasn’t pretty.  PMS this week, along with the long weekend in NYC….but hey,  you gotta start somewhere.  I will need to change my tracker.

They didn’t talk about anything I didn’t already know.  The many years on this site has left me a bit of an expert…yet, for some reason, I can’t seem to make it work.  Maybe this will be it….my “ah ha” moment.  I have ALOT of points to eat.  I am not sure if I can eat them all…..but I know I have to.  This will change as I loose weight.  The eating healthy and making healthy choices and the water drinking, is pretty second nature to me at this point.  Portion control is definitely something I need to work on.  That’s not to say, there are occasions where making healthy choices falls to the wayside…but hey, that’s life.  One thing I did purchase last night at the meeting were these very awesome serving spoons.  One scoops exactly one cup, the other a half of a cup and the third is a gravy ladle that scoops 1/4 cup.  Very cool.  Actually, I was just thinking before last night, that a tool like this would be so helpful.  I try to remember to measure, but more often than not forget.  I used the one cup to portion out the soup I had for lunch.  It was very handy.

So for today….I actually had a usual breakfast for myself.  Eb with broccoli and a slice of lf cheese and a pear.  5 pts. Lunch was a fabulous wrap I concocted, whole wheat wrap, 1oz goat cheese, fresh spinach, carrots, and roasted red peppers with 1 tbs of lt balsamic dressing.  Wow, it was good.  5pts.  And I added a cup of select harvest soup.  1pt.  Snack was a yoplait lt yogurt.  Not a big fan of yogurt.  But if there is one thing I am lacking in my diet….its dairy.  So I am going to make the effort.  I had the pineapple upside down cake…and it was pretty good.  So so far, the day has gone just fine.  They recommend starting exercise week two, but I will start tomorrow.  I had a hair appt today, and then went to the grocery store came home and unpacked everything, and then made a big pot of the ww soup.  Which I have made in the past, and love anyway.  So I will have it should I need something quick.  I also, made a batch of black bean brownies….since the leader was talking about them and they sounded really interesting.  They just came out of the oven, so I can’t comment on them today…LOL

I still have my doubts about this working….but we will see.

Thanks to Anna and LT for the welcome back…..I really do miss you all….but am really glad I can keep in touch with most everyone on FB.

hey, does anyone remember the site that gives all the ww points for restaurant food…it was like penny or something like that….

    You know, when I started (hopefully for the last) time, I felt the same way… I knew all the stuff about what to eat/what not to eat, water, exercise, etc. I think I’d been on 3FC for two years at that point. So it was like second nature! Count yourself lucky in that respect… you know all this stuff so you don’t have to worry about learning it from the beginning! :D

    New new yoplait yogurts rock. I was never a big yogurt person (it never filled me up or fixed a snacking desire I had) but I started forcing myself to eat 3 yogurts a day and now I find I love then adn they’re filling. I hope you get used to them adn enjoy them, they are a treat!

    Your wrap really does sound good!
