Chasing away Chubby
…my scandelous pursuit of 155!
NEW week, new attempt
Posted lodyangel on January 16th, 2010 | Filed under General | 3 Comments »
I’m getting frustrated.
I still have not lost weight since the first week, and while most of that is my own fault at not following my diet to a T. It still is no less frustrating. I have to find a way to drop some weight and stay motivated. The scale has not moved for 2 weeks now. I am VERY FRUSTRATED!!
Today I am logging my food and dropping my calorie limit to 1400. I am also going to run today.
This week I will weigh in everyday and log my weight on my weigh in page. I will also post my food log at the end of everyday.
I will contiinue to read my Dr. Phil book that I have never finished and get it read from cover to cover.
I will continue to do TBL workouts- at least one a day.
I might try Jazzercise.
So I am going to go now and try to burn off these pounds.
I’m going to do it. I’m going to do it right.
Been Working…
Posted lodyangel on January 15th, 2010 | Filed under General | 2 Comments »
I’ve subbed the last 2 days and while it has been great it has not been great for my workouts. Yesterday I was so wiped out from working I did nothing. Today I was determined to go run and I ran out the door walked to the top of the hill and could here my kids squalling in the yard. I hadn’t been gone for 2 mins and they were already fighting!! Grrr!!! So I came home-mad as hell- and fussed at them and settled everything back down. By then it was getting dark and my window of opportunity was closing. This week has just been a complete waste! I didn’t make my goals and I didn’t stick to my diet!! *Sigh! Good thing My new week starts on Saturday! Tomorrow I am going to run 30 mins and do 20 mins of TBL and 10 mins flexibility. I am going to weigh in (something I have forgotten to do the last 2 morning, log all my food, and stay under my calorie count.
Now for the good things I noticed. I have muscles in my arms! My belly looks smaller (Even my sister noticed)! So good things all around. Progress should be celebrated! Now to cook dinner, take a hot bath and go to bed!!
I Ran!!
Posted lodyangel on January 13th, 2010 | Filed under exercise | 3 Comments »
I decided to go for a run. It went really well considering I haven’t ran in 6 months. I did Week 1 of C25K. I warmed up for 10 mins and then spent the next 15 mins running for 1min, 30 secs. then walking for 2 mins. When I reached 25 mins I was running out of time so I ran the 4 mins back to my car and then walked for another 2 mins. Total workout time: 31 mins. Oh, yeah and I forgot to mention it was 32 degrees!! I really enjoyed the running though. I was really into my groove when I ran that 4 minutes. I could have ran longer, but was out of time and had to head home to get the kids off the bus. Again, ladies this proves that running is 90% in your head!! If you think you can do it, you can! Next run day will be Friday!

Irritated…
Posted lodyangel on January 12th, 2010 | Filed under General | 2 Comments »
I’m a little irritated because for some reason my blog will not let me post pics. The tab at the top where you add your pictures is missing. I don’t understand why that is. If anyone knows how I can fix this let me know. I have some new before pics to post and I would love to post pics of what I am eating.
Today I am being very stringent about counting my calories and logging my food. I tend to start off good and then not log anything at dinner (or after) and I am blowing my calorie budget. I intend to fix this. I will never get under 230 if I don’t start being more honest with myself. If I don’t log all my calories the only person I am cheating is myself, the only person I am lying to is myself. I don’t wanna lie to myself anymore. The pounds don’t come off if you don’t do the work. And you can’t pretend to do the work.
So look for my food log to be posted nightly on this blog.
I didn’t workout yesterday because we were in Lexington a good portion of the day. So that means everyday for the rest of the week I have to work out to meet my goal. Today I am going to take it easy because I am feeling lazy.
But I am going to do at least 60 mins of movement.
More later…
End of my week totals…

“The only thing I have any control over is what is going on at this moment. By taking steps in my current every single day, I can achieve my goals for the future.” ~ Matt Hoover, The Biggest Loser Winner, Season 2.
Today was a good day. Food wise I did okay, not great-but okay. I got up too late to eat breakfast (11:00 AM) so I had a small salad for lunch and a SF pudding and a banana for a snack. Dinner was at our favorite Mexican restaurant and I am sure that I went over my calories. But I am not gonna stress over it. I will just get up tomorrow and start fresh.
Workout was 25 mins TBL cardio Max, and 15 mins of the Firm Power Yoga. I was really tired today, so cut the yoga short. My back is sore from doing TBL cardio max yesterday and I just wasn’t into it. I went over my weekly exercise goal for the week. :) So Yay for that! My goal was 300 mins and I did 324! Next week my goal is going to be 310 mins.
My average weight this week was 230. So no loss, but no gain either. *Sigh. I will just look at the bright side. On a positive note I have lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks. Oh, and another positive. I didn’t lose anything this week, but the scale said my fat percentage was down 2% from 44% to 42%.
Gotta love a body with less fat on it! My Mom and my son also said this week that my stomach looked smaller! Another Yay!
So even with no loss I still had quite a few things to be happy about. :) Now, let’s drop some weight!!
Need some blogging help, please…

Those of you who have NOT noticed…I have been changing my blog up a bit. I wanted a blog that I could add pages to, so my Runner theme blog (though it did fit my blog’s name) would not cut it, because you couldn’t add pages and couldn’t use widgets. Not that I have figured out ohow to use widgets yet!! Lol! So check out all my new pages that i have added. Some are just for fun, but I think they are interesting.
Now I can’t figure out how to upload pictures. I’ve done it before, but the upload form that used to be on the write page isn’t showing up for me. Anyone else know how to do this?
Also, I have seen many blogs who have their tickerfactory weight tracker in the side bar. Anyone know how you do that?
I have been thinking for awhile nowabout chucking this blog and starting a new one straight through word-press and by passing 3fatchicks completely. But I am afraid I would lose my friends here if I do that, so I will just try to spruce up the blog that I have and hope for the best.
I’ll post more later.
Really liking the workouts…

o much so that I am wondering why I ever stopped! I love it! I am thoroughly enjoying it and I want to do more!! I am contemplating on doing 2 hours of exercise a day on days when I don’t work! That would make a HUGE difference in my body and help me to lose more weight. My right knee is bothering me a little bit, so I cut todays’ workout short. I did 25 mins of TBL cardio Max and about 4 minutes of stretching. I am also going to do 10 more mins of stretching before bed, and ice my knee. The stretching helps prevent soreness I think.
Next week I am going to start running again. It is gonna be tough. I haven’t ran since back in the summer. I don’t know why I just gave up on everything I had worked so hard to achieve, but I am super motivated again to go out an work hard and achieve all my goals this time. Next week the temperature is suppose to get back up above freezing so I think that will be as good a time as any to start. I am going to shoot toward running every other day. I need to get online and find some warm workout clothes…hopefully for cheap!
I have already posted about my family doing its own TBL challenge. I currently am not in the lead, but I think that will be changing soon! :) My friend Leeda is starting a challenge and I am going to join hers too!! The Link to her blog is in my blogroll. Check her out!!
I have been reading Matt Hoover’s book about his weight loss journey. He was the biggest loser for season 2. It has a lot of good information in it. He tells exactly what he eats everyday (It doesn’t vary much). He also tells exactly what he does as a workout. It is an inspirational, informative read.
Well, that is enough for tonight!
TBL seems to be a running theme today in this post.

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! The weather girl says that snow is definitely on the way for tonight all the way through Friday. We are expecting 4-6 inches here, which is a lot for us. I went to the grocery store last night, so I can avoid the mad dash tonight for milk and bread! I swear people panic when snow is in the forecast. It’s true that while we have gotten snowbound for several days before in the past- 1994 to be exact. The chances of you starving are slim to none if you have some sort of food in the house. At least it is all snow and NO ice. We southerners get a great deal of ice, and I am not in the mood this year to spend several days without electricity! As cold as it is without electricity we would freeze. The highs have only been about 20 all week, and on Sunday night the low is suppose to be -1!!! Brrrrr! I’m cold just thinking about it!
Now speaking of shopping…I was not happy with how difficult it is to get healthier food here. If you live in other areas of the country I don’t think that you can begin to understand how different things are here. If your a vegetarian, your food choices are nonextistent. Our Wal-mart has 2 freezer shelves dedicated to veggie products. Its even difficult to find low fat, fat free, and sugar free food!! There is only one type of low fat cheese in all of our Super Wal-mart…its Colby Jack. There are 3 other grocery stores in my homeotwn and none of their selection is any better. So I was feeling a little frustrated as I was shopping and not finding the variety of low fat, healthier, foods I wanted to buy. I did buy a lot more whole foods like chicken, lower fat beef, pork, and fish. Oh, And as many fresh veggies as my fridge would hold. I didn’t even buy the kids a bunch of junk. Josh got light potato chips! The most processed food in my house right now is probably Gavyn’s poptarts, and I just don’t have the heart to take them from him. One day he will burn himself out on them (he eats them every, single, morning {see the chanting tone I am using})…and they will be no more. I will just let them run their course.
Now on the the Biggest Loser last night. I just have to say it! I think it is incredibly cruel when you take people so morbidly obese, that they are in immediate danger for their lives and immediately give them a challenge that they are not in shape enough to complete, and then if they don’t finish in the top 9 that they get sent straight back home…with a chance to come back in a month! I have never liked when they did that before and I especially hated it last night. I hated watching that father and daughter riding away in the limo crying like someone died. They were literally fighting for their lives. I just think it is a mean, twist of fate, to make someone think they are going to get the help they need and then send them immediately home without learning anything! Okay, I’ll stop gripping about a TV show now, but they really should rethink how they do that. Otherwise, the show was good last night and I think they picked the right person to go home.
So as I was watching TBL last night I realized that I am not pushing myself hard enough workout wise. I have been using 3 pound weights to sort of ease myself back into it and haven’t even been sore. (Even when doing SQUATS, I haven’t been sore- What gives?) So I really need to step it up. So today I am going to go to 5 pound weights and I am going to do an entire TBL workout. I am not sure which one yet. I think I am going to do scultping. I ordered 3 new TBL workouts off of amazon a few days ago and I am impatiently awaiting their arrival. I ordered 30 day jumpstart, The Last Chance Workout and Boot Camp. I already have Sculpting, Cardio Max, and Yoga.
I also ordered 2 cases for my kindle, One case to carry it in normally, and a is splash-proof case for use when we go camping or its raining, or when I wanna read in the tub! Lol! I also ordered a really cool skin for it, and a screen protector. The skin is pink and has a sort of dogwood tree design on it. I also ordered Devin a guitar stand for his electric guitar for his birthday this Saturday. None of that (Except the screen protector) has come in yet, and some of it was ordered over a week ago! I wish it would get here already!!
I did not workout yesterday. I wanted too, but I just let it slide and took the day off. It’s so amazing how much I am enjoying moving again. I just wish the scale would move too…to the left! I forgot to weigh this morning and have already eaten so I will skip that for today I guess. Workout is TBL Power Sculpt for 50 mins and then 10 mins of flexibility on the exercise ball. I have “10 Minute solution Fitness ball workouts” and the one on their for flexibility is AWESOME. I also think that it helps keep the soreness at bay a little.
Food so far has been:
Breakfast
scrambled egg- 70 cals
3 pcs center-cut bacon- 70 cals
4 oz OJ: 55 cals
3 clementines: 105
TOTAL: 300
Snack
A sundae. This came out of the BL cookbook. It’s made from vanilla FF yogurt, SF choc syrup, banana, and FF whipcream. 195 calories
Total: 495
Lunch will be a bowl of last night’s left over chili- 250 with colby jack cheese snack- 80 and crackers-60: 390 calories
Snack- apple & string cheese- 150 calories
Dinner- beef pot roast (already in the crockpot) with small salad- 500 calories
Bringing my daily total to 1535 calories.
I accidentally bought Matt Hoover’s book on my kindle by accident. I could have asked for a refund, but I have sort of gotten interested in it so I guess I will keep it. Still $10 for a book that exists in cyberspace and only on my electronic device seems a bit much. I might as well get used to it, this is the future of books. I wonder how librabries will work once everyone has a Kindle or e-reader?? Sad future indeed.
Well off to my day! I hope its snowy!! ![]()
