Week 1 down!

Good Morning Chickees! Today will consist of lots of cleaning. I will take down the Xmas decorations inside and out. The kids have already started on their chores-though they really didn’t want to!! We have to get as much done as possible since we are going to spend Friday and Saturday night with BF, and won’t be home much until Sunday.
I lost 2 pounds this week! That is a great start to what I need to do. 36 more pounds to go tomake graduation goal! However, I ate crap yesterday and have to make sure that it doesn’t happen again. It’s time to get serious about this and really make this work. Eating crap just gets me constipated and fat. I’ve had enough of that. So far the Flat belly diet is going well. Its easy to ffollow. i am going to be more stringent about it today making sure I eat good things and limit the amount of crap I eat to NONE.
Anyone know any good face moisturizers. My face looks so OLD in winter because it gets so dried out. I don’t have a lot of money so I want to make sure that I buy one that really works. I use biore products in summer but that is not enough in winter. Any suggestions?
Also, anyone ever do a colon cleanse? I know…Ewwww! BF saw an infomercial for one and was thinking of trying it. I have researched them before but never went through with it. The one with all the amazingly GROSS testimonials on the internet is $88 for a 1 month supply. IDK…just wondered if anyone had done one before.
The new great neice comes home tomorrow! Neice19 had a c-section and had to stay in the hospital longer than usual. She rhad been running a fever too, but they said should be able to come home tomorrow. That is good since I haven’t gotten to see her since NYE- the day she was born. Neice19 was so tired that they stopped all visitors yesterday.
Well ladies…off to do some work! Here’s to starting a great, positive, 2009!!

Congrats sweets!
Dang girl - 2 pounds down on your way to GLORY!
How ’bout oil of olay stuff? It seems pretty legit. I bought that Boots #7 moisturizing cream that I apply at night sometimes when I remember.
Don’t know ’bout the colon cleanse though….
Great job hon! GREAT JOB!

I am a dried up prune, too. I use Oil of Olay intense moisture something or the other. My gramma has used it since forever and is well into her 80’s and HAWT. She is hardly wrinkled at all. It really does do the moisturizing trick though.
Congrats on the 2 pounds!!

I am a TRUE BELIEVER in Clinique. I am 18 months older than my sister and I look at least 5 years younger, and almost all the women I know ask me for my skin care regimen once they’ve known me for a few months. I’ve used the Superdefense SPF 25 for a few years now (in extra-dry to dry) although I switched a few months back to a better product, also Clinique, which is called SuperRescue Antioxidant Night Moisture (also in extra-dry to dry). This product has been renamed, it wasn’t called a night moisturizer before, but I think they call it that because it doesn’t have SPF coverage (although in Winter that matters less). It has some kind of illuminator built in, so you get this really subtle healthy glow, and a nice youthful dewy finish. It’s really a great cream, and my skin is very sensitive and I’ve never broken out from Clinique (and everytime I try other brands I break out after 5-10 days). For me it’s really worth it to spend a little more for this vs drugstore brands, but if you do go drugstore, buy the formula for extra-dry skin — they have the best moisturizing ingredients, and you can get away with a little less of them.
Congrats on the 2 pounds.

Great way to start the year! Congrats. it must feel great!
Oil of Olay gets great reviews, I like it but I use whatever is on sale, I admit I have no brand loyalty. Dermatologist say the best is vaseline, believe it or not, but it feels too greasy for me to use every day - it is an emergency solution during the winter.

I don’t know if you have any acne or redness issues like me, but I tried a LOT of stuff to clear me up and moisturize with out adding to the oil that’s already there.
Nothing worked until now. 1-2 weeks ago I bought Aveeno Active Naturals: Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer. I LOVE THIS STUFF! word for word on bottle: salicylic acid blemish treatment-for clear, even looking skin, helps prevent breakouts (with total soy complex). • Leaves skin soft and smooth • Improves skin texture • Evens out skin tone • Improves skin clarity • Prevents breakouts • Clears up blemishes
It smells wonderful, feels good and my face has been clearing up, the redness is easing off and I don’t get oily an hour later. My makeup lasts longer also.
I also bought Aveeno Active Naturals: Ultra-Calming Night Cream. Essentially does the same thing for a more intense evening moisturizer, but no salicylic acid. I’ve only used it once so far-I’m usually to tired to wash and moisturize in the evenings.
Hope this helps! : )

Oh yeah, and the Aveeno costs about the same as Olay, Neutrogena, etc.
