Chasing away Chubby
…my scandelous pursuit of 155!
I’m a great Aunt!

Well, 2008 wasn’t the best year. I am definitely hoping that 2009 will be better. However we ended the year with the greatest of blessings. My neice gave birth to a 8#13 oz, 21 inch long, baby girl. She’s gorgeous, beautiful, and perfect in every way. She arrives about 10 hours too early to be the new year baby. So now I am a great aunt! I was a freshmen in HS when my neice was born 19 years ago! Now she is having a baby of her own. My own son is 17…Realistically, I could be a grandma within a few years! Now that is a scary thought! I am getting old!
The New year was a good one. We didn’t do anything just stayed and watched the ball drop at BF’s house. Today we watched a movie, “ghosttown” which was decent, and then went to Petsmart. BF was looking for a new pet- I think he gets lonely living alone. But he’s not home enough to train a dog, and cats- which are a tad more self reliant than dogs- well there weren’t any that we fell in love with there. He also looked at the birds but feared they would be too noisy. We looked at Hamsters and gerbils, but he wasn’t really interested. And we looked at the snakes, which I informed him I would never come over if there is a snake living with him. So we left empty handed. We went to Pizza Hut to eat, where I began the meal with a salad, but still overate.
Hopefully it wasn’t so bad that the scale will reflect it tomorrow.
So I am 10 pounds lighter than I was when I began this journey on July 4th, 2007. This is gonna be the year that I see 155. This is gonna be the year that I get it all together and keep it together. Here are my New Years Resolutions.
*Reach my goal weight of 155 pounds.
* Take better care of myself. This means:
-Don’t leave the house without make-up.
-Dress more fashionably-no workout clothes unless I am actually going to work out!
-Love myself
*Run a 5K
This is the year that I graduate. This is the year that I reach my goals and fulfill my dreams. There is a alot on my plate for the next few months, but I can do this. I just have to put myself first, and believe that I am worth it~ Just like theRevlon commercial says!!

i like your 2009 goals - I should probably do the same one about workout wear - especially since i wear yoga pants when nothing else fits…
Being permanently down 10 pounds is a great accomplishment, and they say slow and steady is what wins the race!
Sounds like many more achievements are in store for 2009.
Congrats on the new baby in the family.
Happy New Year!
