The Day after Christmas… Reality hits.
First off I wanted to say I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! More Christmas news later…
I am sitting here doing the calculations.
How many times have I done this?
I have a BIG milestone coming up. GRADUATION! And yes, even though I am a non-traditional student, I am walking the stage, baby. I earned it- I’m doing it! So the new goal is to lose 38 more pounds by graduation day. That’s 2 pounds a week. I can do this! Especially if I get my fat butt up and out and go run!
I am not happy to say that I have gained the 4 pounds that I lost between Thanksgiving and Xmas back….but I have. Weigh in this morning 220.
My body just loves that number for some reason. (That is better than 228 though! When I began this journey a year and a half ago.) Anyway, I am thinking some of that may be transitional as the bad eating has the plumbing not working well again, and some may be water since I ate country ham the last 2 days! I LOVE that stuff but it is sooooo salty!
So the weather today is going to be warmer. I think the high will be near 60 degrees. Its been sitting firmly at 40 for the last 2 hours, I wish the thermometer would go on up so I can go and attempt to run. I haven’t ran since October. So this will not be good, but I might be able to do a mile straight. I am always surprised at what my body can do, even after I have taken such a long break. I will get to try out my new Asics gel tennis shoes. I wanted the gel Nimbus 10’s but BF got me the Gel 1140’s and I have been wearing them since Xmas eve and they feel just like my Nimbus 9’s, so they are fine. I have been running in Asics since High school! They are my favorite shoe!
The temp just jumped up to 46 degrees on my system tray weather bug icon and it started raining! UGH! Hopefully it will stop and I can go run some!
Christmas was great. BF and I got along beautifully. He got me the shoes, a gold rope bracelet, a heart necklace and a $60 gift card to American Eagle. I would have much preferred a $60 card to Catos where I could have bought a lot of clothes. I will be lucky if I get 2 shirts at American Eagle, even with the after Xmas sales! The kids got everything that they wanted. It was a lovely Christmas. DD and DS4 were soooo excited about Santa coming. Ds 10 is starting to not believe in Santa. I told my kids that if they don’t believe than Santa doesn’t come see them anymore. So DS17 still believes- at least when he is around me. I didn’t raise no fools! LOL!
So back to the weight loss…
Date of 46 pound weight loss goal: May 8th (this includes the 8 pounds I have already lost)
Date of 155 pound Goal weight: Labor Day 2009
Ways to get there:
Fat Belly Diet- get back to following it. Keep food journal.
Alli- I still have some pills left- USE THEM!
Run- get back to running at least 3 days a week. Running of course counts as cardio.
weight training 2-3 times a week;
Cardio 5-6 times a week.
Oh yeah, and screw waiting on New Years! This plan starts TODAY!

Awesome! I didn’t think any of the old people would still be around. I have come to realize how incredibly important this was to my initial success. So, I hope to be back permanently.
I hear ya. It’s so tough to get and stay motivated. I didn’t go to the gym today, but I won a small battle in resisting the lindt balls in my candy dish. small victories, I guess!! good to hear from you, let’s do this!
I love your excitement, you are a woman with a mission. My hubby is also graduating in May and I found a great size 12 dress on clearance that I want to wear to his ceremony. Let’s kick ass together!
Good luck! You can reach your goal, Im sure you can!
Damn good girl.
You’ve got this down pat! I just started the better eating today…now I need to move my ass. This is like the worst part for me… but it’s gotta be done. Shit to think I used to hike like a mad woman last October!
Dog.
Oh well, we can get back up and brush ourselves off and have a good run again
Ok homegirl.
This also means you need to blog more often too - except for of course during study periods.
I’ve got to do the same thing - study/move my body/eat better. I’m not gonna give myself a timeline because that freaks me out. But I will try to give myself weekly goals.
That way a spoonful will go down easier and soon it’ll add up to a gallon!
I’m in it withcha kiddo.
Let’s do this damn thing!
Hooraaahhhh!
Ok girlie.
Keep posting….
