I went MIA- AGAIN!!
But I was with you all in spirit! It’s not that I didn’t want to be here it is just that I have been so busy with the cleaning, and cooking, and running kids here and there, and working out and playing Fluff friends treasure hunt on fb…Well you can see that I have had pressing matters to attend to!
But even though I was MIA I have not been off the dieting wagon. I have still been kicking butt with exercise and though I did fall off logging calories everyday, I have made a real effort to eat better and it has paid off. I have not gained weight while I was gone…and my taste buds are changing! All that crap I used to live on McDonald’s, Zingers, anything fried. It now tastes YUCKY to me. I can taste the grease, the fat, and the bad stuff that is used to make it! So that is a good thing & will help me in the long run if I remember that it is NASTY! The problem is I think I have been brainwashed by McDonald’s advertising. Even though I know it is nasty on occasion I will eat something from there and will be quickly be reminded by my tastebuds that it doesn’t taste good and then later reminded by my body that it is not good for me!
I joined Curves.
I had filled out a paper for a free workout a few weeks ago and they called me to come in. I really wanted to see what my fat percentage was. 37%!!! GEESH!!! The lady kept telling me that it wasn’t bad, but hell I know that it is, No need to lie. I wasn’t sure if I would like Curves. The workout seemed too easy for me at first, but the workout is self-adjusting? You get out of it what you put into it. The harder you work, the more fat you burn. There are a line of machines in a circle. You spend 30 seconds on each machine. There is a “recovery station” in between every machine and you can do whatever you want there as long as you are moving…walk in place, jump, run, etc. I am the only person there who does squats!!
So I like it for now. Curves usually cost $150 to sign up and $34 a month. I could NOT afford that!! I got it for $99 for the entire semester because I am a student! YAY! So if I decide I do not like it then I can quit after December. We will see how it goes. Curves is having a “challenge” right now. It’s like survivor. If you work out 3 times a week you get to stay on “fitness Island.” But if you do not you get kicked off. My goal for the 5 week challenge is to lose 5 pounds. I think I can do that no problem if I stick with it. I’d love to kick all those other ladies butts!! ![]()
I still haven’t ordered my Halloween costume! I gotta do that this week!! I bought a body wrap kit. I wanna see if it helps AT ALL with tightening up this gut I have. I was looking in the mirror. If I did not have this GUT, I would not look half bad. So that’s my goal, get rid of the gut or at least the fat. I have really strong abs under there somewhere. Where you can see them…waaaayyy at the top of my stomach near my rib cage, they are rock hard. So I have a good foundation in there somewhere! I just have to find it!
I figure I will definitely need a tummy tuck after losing this weight. I have loose skin below my belly button from having 4 kids and I don’t think that will go away on its own.
I just finished reading Micheal Moore’s new book entitled “Mike’s Election Guide.” I don’t agree with his stance on everything but it is an interesting read. I read the whole thing in a DAY! Anyway he thinks that one of first orders of the the new President should be to ban High fructose corn syrup!!! The reason? Then companies would have to go back using plain old SUGAR which is much more expensive and they will not be as likely to load there products full of it. Maybe all the corn farmers won’t mind it so much now since they can now sell all the corn they would normally sell to the HFCS people to the gas companies to make ethanol. Sounds like a good plan to me!!!
So today is log my calories, workout at curves, clean up the house some, go to class.
Come home, clean some more, fix dinner (Fajitas??) and play Fluff-friends on FB until I am too tired to click my mouse anymore!!! You ladies have a fabulous hump day! ![]()
