It’s been so long…
I must apoligize for my lengthy absence from my blog. This week was spring break and I have been busy cleaning house, and such. I also have been working on my family genealogy. I have been doing it for several years now. It is pretty cool to see where you came from. For instance my ancester was one of the first settlers to America, and I am the 4th cousin (9 times removed) to Queens Anne and Mary of England from the 16th century. Now THAT is cool.
It has been nothing but terrential rain for the last few days. We are under a flood warning tonight and this time it is actually doing something. The river has flooded the ball field, and is threatening homes in town. This is gonna be the worst flood since 1997. That was the BIG flood, one we hope to never see again. Half my town was destroyed. BF lost everything. This time isn’t going to be as bad though. Though, driving through town tonight, over the main bridge into town and seeing the roaring, rushing water so close to the bottom of the bridge, I got flashbacks to ‘97. I was pointing it all out to my kids telling them how high the water got. (I only had DS1 at the time of the flood.) They oohed and ahhed over the water. They have never seen it this high before.
But not to worry… I am safe and dry up on top of my hill in my rectangular, aluminum box. We are so far away from water, and we are the tallest hill around that if we get flooded…you better build an ark. Still it’s sad to see people’s homes and lives destroyed. Somewhere in KY a mother & her toddler got trapped in flood waters in her car, and when she got out of the car, the baby got swept away from her and drowned. I can not even imagine the pain that mother feels tonight. How terrifyingly awful that was for her to have her baby ripped from her arms. So I am praying forher tonight, and for the safety of all involved in dealing with the rising waters. There are policeman, firemen, EMS workers, emergency management, city employees, all up and risking their lives to keep people safe.
It has been a weird season. We’ve had a tornado, snow, now a flood…I hate to ask what’s next!
I have not been exercising, and I have been eating like a pig. Tomorrow morning the rain is suppose to end so I plan on running…as much as I can do. I am sure I have slid back some. It’s time to get back on this and lose this shit for good.
Maybe I will have flood pics tomorrow!

I heard about that poor mama losing her little one. I can’t even imagine!
We had terrible weather here too, trees fell everywhere, the roads were all blocked off, and tons of people are without electricity. No deaths that Iknow of thank God.
Thanks for checking on me, it means a lot. I am back
