Chasing away Chubby

I am laying on te couch looking up at am award that I earned.  It is an “Interactive Health Award.”  I won it because of the “Health initiative” I took part in at work.

Evidently not everyone got one of these. Actually I have not found anyone who recieved one.

My cholesterol was lower, my health better, I only have a 1% chance of having a heart attack this year. (  I think that is the lowest you can get.)  My score on the scale was -20.  That is the best score you could recieve.

So I got this award because I am one of the healthiest people in the United States….Wait, a second I will quote what it says in my packet….

“Your total IHI score is -20.  A score between 0 and -20 (where -20 is best) makes you a member of an elite group  of the “heart healthiest” people in the Unites States.  Congratulations!!”  So I got this little certificate award thing, that I hung up on the wall for all to see. 

How dorky is that? 

And up in the corner it says “Watch how life gets better.”  

I have really been slacking this week.   Spring Break is this week and with the amount of food dwindling in the house, this will be the perfect opportunity to get my ass back on the ball and make this work.   Life has gotten better since starting this journey, and yes, there have been a few bumps along the way. But I have said all along that I CAN DO this.  So get up off your ass Melody and do it.

And “Watch How Life Gets Better.”
