8 inches!
You might be a redneck if…
You have to use grocery bags over your shoes because you can’t afford snow boots!
I finally got the snow I had wanted all winter long. We got about 8 inches and it was AWESOME! We played outside in it all weekend long. This was the first decent snowfall we have gotten since the winter DS10 was born. My youngest 3 have never seen snow like this. They built their first real snowman and went sledding and snowboarding. DD is a natural snowboarder. I swear if we lived somewhere colder where we got more snow, she would be a pro. She took right to it!
I also turned 34 yesterday. Gosh That sounds so old. I don’t feel that old. LOL! My family had a dinner for my birthday and I over ate. But it was my birthday so I forgive myself. Really it probably wasn’t so bad because I didn’t eat lunch yesterday.
Well I didn’t work out this weekend, but I did play outside all weekend. I went snowboarding (FUN!) but hard on the knees, and I went sledding. It’s funny. I can run 3-4 miles and that doesn’t get my heart rate up as much as walking up a hill in 20 degree weather, with snow boots on, pulling a sled! LOL! Then me and DD and DS4 went for a walk in the woods. So I think I got my workout in…though it was a different type of workout. It was still snowing on Saturday, but yesterday the sun came out and it was beautiful. That bright sun reflecting off the snow gave all of us our first sunburns. We all have red cheeks and noses!
The kids were out of school today. I felt bad, have a headache and a low grade fever so I called in to work today. I am feeling a little better now that the tylenol kicked in. So I get to spend the day with my kids. I don’t know if that is a good thing as they are already whining. The snow will melt today so we are going out early to enjoy the last of it. It is hard to tell when we will get another snow like this one.
