Chasing away Chubby

I survived the wind!

I am happy to report that me and the box made it through the night!  The wind was something though.  But there was very little damage from it. …which was weird, because that was the worst wind ever since I have been in the trailer, and there wasn’t even many limbs down.  My chair on my front porch was moved but not turned over.  I didn’t check  the back yard to see what it did back there!  There could be an entire tree down and i didn’t even bother to check!

Today was DS10’s 10th birthday.  He had to go to the dentist to get some of his cavities filled…old yuck mouth that he is.  LOL! He’ll make sure to brush when I tell him to from now on!  I took him out to eat before his appointmnet and he picked a chinese buffet.  VERY good, but VERY fattening.  I did pick some good choices, steamed green beans and mushrooms, but most of the rest of it was pure fat, but pure heaven!  I stopped eating when I was feeling full.  That was my only meal today, so yay for me!  I drank, drank, drank all day trying to wash out all the salt I took in.  Chinese food is really high in sodium.  However tonight we had ice cream and cake for his birthday, and I ate a little of each.  I didn’t pig out though…and that red velvet cake was DIVINE!  So yay for me for only eating a small piece.

The real party is Friday night.  He has invited 3 of his best friends to stay the night.  I know I must be crazy!  We are having the party at my sisters house.  I am gonna order pizza from snappy and I am gonna buy him guitar hero for his Xbox or PS2.  That will be all he gets since guitar hero costs like $100.  Let’s not forget I am poor.  Plus the party will run me close to another $100.  Gosh, kids are expensive!

I walked with my Mom and 2 of my sisters after the cake tonight.  We walked for about 30 minutes.  That’s all the exercise Igot in today.  Tomorrow is running again!  I am ready to go!  I haven’t looked at the weather.  I hope it is not too cold!  I actually enjoyed the warm weather, even though I would really like to get a HUGE snowfall sometime.  My kids especially the last 3, have never gotten to experience a REAL snowfall.  Our last deep one was in 1998.   I think we got 18 inches in one storm that year.  Gosh!  That would be bliss!  We’d be outta school for a week!!!  Well, here’s to dreaming!
