frenzied mess.

For anyone who doesn’t know I am going to college to finish my BA in elementary education. I want to finish my degree so I can teach an older age group, (I currently teach pre-k & I am burned out on the little ones) and so I can make more money. My first year of teaching elementary my salary will almost double. So I have been killing myself, going to college online FULL time, working FULL time, being a FULL time single Mommy, trying to run a household., and trying to lose 73 pounds. On the best days I am overwhelmed. For the last few days I have been a frenzied, stressed out, mess. I have some major assignments due on Friday, and it just so happens that my portfolio that I have to turn in to get into the college of education is also due on friday. So I am Stressed out to the max trying to get it all done, and still work, and still be a mom, and still get the laundry done so we all have clean clothes to wear. That is in addition to putting up Xmas decorations and trying to maintain my sanity.
So tomorrow I plan on running at some point. About 2 miles. Then I will chain myself to my computer to get everything done that I can. The portfolio is first priority. Gosh, I wish I wasn’t such a procrastinator!!!!
So If you don’t hear from me in a day or two, that is where I am. ..chained to my computer, typing furiously as if my future depended on it.
Because it does.

Good luck with all your things to be done. Any of the kids old enough to help with laundry or meals? If so…delegate!!! The Christmas decorations can wait till next week…there, feel better?
Seriously, no wonder your stressed, take a slow deep breath and hug yourself—RIGHT NOW!!!

Seriously I had to be a tough mom and just start delegating. It’s not perfect and I can’t say a darn thing. You can’t white glove my house with out saying ewww. But I am only one person. I have clean dishes and clothes. They may still be in the dishwasher and baskets. But we are making progress.
