Everybody loves a quickie!
This will be quick as it is already after 11:00 and I gotta get up in the morning. :(
I have been slacking exercise wise. Things have just been so hectic. I do not think it is possible for me to make my September exercise goal. Well if I don’t, I don’t! Things are just crazy. It’s amazing I am holding it together.
It was HOT today. The first day of Autumn and the high was 95 degrees!!! Yep, we broke the record high. It is suppose to be hotter tomorrow! There are forest fires burning in the mountains. The bluegrass state is so dry that it is turning into the browngrass state. You step on my grass and it crunches…seriously. There is a chance of rain on Tuesday-Thursday. I wish it would pour for days. I actually miss the rain. But you all know I love storms! It is suppose to cool down into the 70’s by the end of the week, so maybe this will be the end of the 90’s for this year. It has been one hot dry summer!
I ran tonight. I took off with the intention of running 3 miles, but it was so hot that instead I did a timed mile. It was rough. It was hot, which made it hard to breathe. I ran the mile in 11:12. That is really slow. I always think…damn i used to run a 6 min mile! But I will eventually get it dowm. But I have to get serious about my running. This half ass shit isn’t getting me where I wanna be. I gotta do it and I gotta do it now. I would like to win my hometown 5K one day. To do that my time will have to get down to 6-7 minute miles. It’s possible, but it is gonna be hard, and it’s not gonna happen next year. One the way home I ran a half mile in 6 mins flat. Again…too slow!! I gotta get faster, run longer…I can do this. I ended up run/ walking 2 miles. Counting stretching warm up and cool down My total workout time was 55 mins.
Food has been better. I am back to sticking to plan. So hopefully some weight will fall off. I lost 1 pound last week down to 208!
G’night all!
