I started C25K week 3 today. I was surprised how well I did. The actaul running part was easy. I didn’t get too winded and my heart didn’t feel like i was gonna have a heart attack. I felt I could have went farther, but those damn shins! The freaking things were cramping up on me! Oh, I didn’t let the mutinous bastards stop me though. I ran my 3 mins and did the entire workout just like I was suppose to! I kept telling myself, “Running is 90% in your head, and that is stronger then these little shins!” It worked. I finished my workout and walked some more and then stretched. I did 60 mins of exercise.

If you scroll below this entry you will see that I measured myself today! I lost a total of 6.5 inches in a month! I know you are probably sick of seeing me say this, but… I ROCK!
My legs are looking Sweet! They are all toned and muscular. Except there is some really light wrinkly skin above my knees. >:( Anyone know any good skin toning lotion. I was afraid of this loose skin thing happening. The knees don’t bother me, I figure it will tighten up on its own… but the skin on my stomach does. I already have a little loose skin from having all these rugrats, so if i lose weight I fear it will get worse. I have already looked up the price of a tummy tuck just in case!
Yeah the legs are looking good. I just wish the rest of me didn’t look like a beach ball! For real, I look like Mike from Monsters Inc. You know the little green one-eyed monster with the stick legs and the globe body? Thats me, except I am not green, and you need to put a head on top of his head… Are you envisioning it? NOW…That’s me!
What is wrong with this today, nothing is working right on this site today!

Good Girl! Man, I told you that you’re a goddamn athlete! Fuck, I watched people run by me today and I wished that I could run like that too…. then I thought to myself - somewhere my girl Melody is out there running her ass off and DAMN! I’m proud of her!

A helpful hint I’m ganking from another forum that has helped me- when your legs get tired or hurt during a run (if you are on a treadmill) then ramp up the incline. It makes the run harder for a few minutes, then ramp it back down. The run then seems a lot easier and the shin splints go away. If you don’t run on a treadmill, I guess it could work on hills instead if you have them nearby. Good for you on your push and postive attitude!!
