Suffering sunburn

Me and DS #2

Went to the lake today with my boyfriend Josh, DS#2, Sis and BIL.  We had a REALLY fun time.  We swam and went tubing and rode in his speed boat.  It was alot of fun.  I rode on the tube twice.  Once with DS and once by myself.  You talk about an arm workout!   Holding yourself on is torture, my biceps were screaming!  The second time, (because BIL was going alot faster than when I rode with DS…for obvious reasons) I got thrown off.  I skipped across the water like a pebble before sinking and then popping back up above the waves like bobber on a fishing line, thanks to my trusty life jacket.  It knocked the wind out of me, hurt my ribs a little and my right arm went numb.  It was okay though… No real injuries.   It’s alot of fun, but I am reminded that I am getting old as I was not too keen on doing it again. (And that I am using the word “keen” at all is a sign that I am old as the hills.  lol!)  I would have went again, i have an adventurous spirit…but no one else wanted to go again so I didn’t volunteer.

So workout today was swimming and tubing.  Swimming was a workout too.  My BIL forgot his anchor and the boat kept floating away and I would have to swim to the boat with the life jacket on (which is hard), sometimes against the current (which is harder), not to mention, pulling myself up on the boat, and various other boating swimming activities that my body is not used to. 

My body is aching so badly right now, the only part that doesn’t hurt is my head…knock on wood.

On top of that, I extremely fair complected, so now I am extremely sunburned.    My face, my back, my arms, chest, and thighs…red as a lobster.  I used SPF 50 too!

Well I am off to take some much needed tylenol and crawl, painfully  in the bed.
