About Me
I am the youngest of eight children and I was born and raised in California, although my family had originated from China.
It’s been very difficult to stay thin, since I was never really taught about healthy eating habits as I was growing up. My family was poor and of course, you tend to purchase food that is affordable, which is almost never the healthy foods. Somehow, I just assumed that when I grew up, that I would “automatically” be thin and beautiful, but that never happened. Exercise??? What’s that?
My father was abusive both verbally and mentally and sometimes physically. He always told us that we were “good for nothing”, “ugly” or a “disgrace” to him. It’s no wonder I have a low self esteem. He was a gambler and an adulterer, so he expected us to work and hand over our paycheck to him. We all cared about our mother, who was not strong enough to defend herself, so as the older siblings married and moved out of the house, it was up to us younger kids to take care of the household bills, food, clothes etc.
I became a single mom at the young age of 15. I don’t know if I kept the baby because I wanted a baby to love me unconditionally or because I didn’t know what to do. Perhaps both. Well, it made my life even rougher, since the father had left me and friends became few and thin as they didn’t want to associate with me for fear of their own reputation going down south.
Either way, I survived through all the struggles, although I do have deep scars from all the hurt throughout my life and perhaps I don’t feel that I’m worthy to be happy. Maybe I turn to food for comfort? I don’t know…I haven’t realized my habits just yet except that I looovvvveeee sweets and I know that I will be a lousy diabetic.
I’m currently married with a total of 4 children. My oldest is now 28 and then I have a 14, 12 and 4 year old. As a hobby, I raise and breed yorkie terriers. They are all AKC registered with outstanding pedigrees. My girls are sisters to Miley Cyrus and Raven Simone’s yorkies and they are all just adorable and so loving.
