Tylenol times

Morning everyone and happy no humping day. I am not feeling well today at all. I don’t know what is going on, but something is. Not sure if it is plain old tiredness or allergies or what. I feel like caca.
I’m on Tylenol and pectin drops so we’ll see how I feel later. Hope this is just the time change kicking my butt
Work yesterday was fine. Busy, but okay. I left work on time and had a nice drive to the gym. I got in some cardio and stretching and then met with the trainer. It was very very hard yesterday. The AC wasn’t on for one thing and the outside temp was in the upper 70s so the gym was horrid. I have had a sore bicep for a month and had my trainer check it out. I have a really huge knot and was unable to do a few exercises due to my bicep. Great. I did a lot of others with considerable difficulty and felt like I had been beaten up at the end of the session. I didn’t know if I’d be able to do the rest of my cardio afterwards because the gym was so uncomfortably hot. I did it, but at a lower speed and a few more minutes added at the end to get the right numbers. I was so woozy and felt awful during it. I dragged myself home and had dinner of cabbage, hominy and cold chicken. It was all very good. I cut up the Irish cream truffle fudge to take to work, snagged a bit of that for dessert and enjoyed it a lot. I watched The Biggest Loser so spoiler alert if you haven’t watched it stay away from this entry. I enjoyed the show as always and was impressed with the lady who went home. She looked really wonderful.. but please, someone give her a haircut!! The challenges were good. I liked seeing Curtis Stone… miss seeing his show! The weigh ins – wow. Blue totally kicked butt, didn’t they? I went to bed right afterwards. I woke up around midnight, sorer than ever so I took a couple of Tylenol and went back to bed.
Up this morning feeling like crap still. Sigh. I had breakfast, got cleaned up and on my way. Took some more Tylenol too. Work is okay and I am busy, but not too bad. Still feel awful. Sore all over, headache, exhausted. I had both flu shots so it’s not that. The soreness is from the workout last night, but it is really much worse than usual. If I feel like this at the end of the day, I may just skip the gym, go home and go straight to bed. I don’t think I have a fever, but I can’t check until I get home. At least today isn’t a trainer day.. just cardio only. I feel like I could sleep 24 hours…. Yawn. After work, it is either the gym or home to eat and then to bed. Dinner is lemon chicken stir fry and an egg roll. It is all ready for me.. just have to reheat and cook the noodles for 3 minutes. TV is probably nothing since I need bed early.

Not much time left in the day

Afternoon everyone. Not a lot of time left before I leave for the day but I wanted to get in a post of some sort. It’s important I think to have a routine that you can depend on,.. and I depend on this. It’s a nce day here today but I wish it was gloomy because the bright light hurts my eyes
The weekend was nice but man was it too short! That one hour missing really made a big difference. I feel cheated! Saturday and Sunday I went to the gym, cooked, did chores and took naps. All in all a very normal weekend. Yesterday was a crazed day at work so I didn’t get to come here to read much, let alone post. I left work on time and stopped off at Target on my way home. I had forgotten to buy stuff for the fudge I had to make. Big dummy me. I went home, whipped together the fudge, had dinner, relaxed a bit and was in bed too late again.
Up on time this morning. Had breakfast and got on my way. It’s again been a zoo today with way too many meetings. When are we supposed to work if we have meetings all the time? I’ll be leaving here in about 45 minutes to go to the gym for trainer night. Hope he is nce. My knees and my shoulders were so stiff yesterday morning when I got up, I felt 90 years old. Dinner tonight is cardamom chicken, hominy and cabbage with bacon. Dessert is popcorn. Tonight is The Biggest Loser and I am not sure who should go home. Daris won’t be happy Mom is gone. He is already out for blood against other team. Bedtime after that.
Time to post and get back to work. I’ll try and read a few entries. Have a nice Tuesday everyone.
Ready for the weekend

Morning everyone and Happy Friday. Ahhhhhh. The tension of the week hasn’t quite started slipping away, but since I know it is Friday, there is hope!
It’s a gloomy rainy morning here but luckily the rain didn’t start until after I got to work. I am hoping it is as cooperative on my way home.
Work yesterday was fine. Pretty normal and some what busy, but not insane. I left work on time and had a nice drive to the gym. I got in some cardio and stretching and met with the trainer. It was a good workout of mostly lower body stuff. In the middle of doing one exercise, he suddenly put his hand up to stop my legs from going over to far. Well perpetual motion and all, the legs stopped, but the ball I had between my legs kept going and I got bonked in the face! It was one of those blow up stability balls so I wasn’t hurt. He laughed and I told him he was evil and did it on purpose! I did my cardio afterwards and then went home for dinner. Dinner was Spanish chicken over barley and peas on the side with popcorn for dessert. I watched Grey’s and taped Private Practice, washed my hair, made food for the following day and tumbled into bed.
Up on time this morning. Dragged my self out of bed, got cleaned up and on my way. The drive was fine and work has been okay so far. It’s pretty late in the day. When I started this it wasn’t that busy but I’ve been on a very LONG call so I got sidetracked. I’ll be leaving work shortly. I’ll be hitting Trader Joe’s and the grocery store on my home. Dinner is the last of the cheeseburger salad and the last of the sweet potato baked fries. I am doing nothing important tonight other than being a pillow for the Furball
The weekend is the usual gym both days, cooking on Saturday and Sunday is chores. Nothing special this weekend and no church more than likely. Nap time!!
Everyone have a nice weekend and count those calories because the ever expanding ass counts then.. doesn’t it?
Mid Morning lull

Morning everyone and Happy Thursday. Lovely morning here. Clean but way too cold. If people in the Midwest are getting 60s in the morning, I should not be getting 42 degrees. It’s not fair! By Monday we are supposed to hit 70 so that will be nice. I’ll just shiver until then.
Work yesterday was fine. Mellower than Monday and Tuesday and no meetings. I left work on time and had a nice drive to the gym. I got in my cardio and since it was cardio only day, I went home right afterwards. Good thing too because I was famished. I had some cheeseburger salad and sweet potato fries and popcorn for dessert. I watched a little TV, but mostly played around online. I taped Ugly Betty, took a hot shower and went to bed to read.
Up this morning on time with a groan. Whose stupid idea was this working nonsense, anyway?
I got up, got changed, had breakfast and got on my way. Work is fine and going at a normal pace today. I have a meeting after lunch but it shouldn’t be too bad. It’s with one of the vendors, but we just met with them on Monday so there isn’t too much new to discuss. The afternoon is hopefully the usual stuff. My gardener is at my house today yanking out two plants that have gotten too big for their areas. One is a lavender plant and that makes me sad. He is planting me another one someplace on my property so that is nice. He is also applying some special fertilizer to my vines to try and get them to flower.. they are growing like crazy but rarely flower. Hope it works. After work, I am off to the gym for a trainer night. I think tonight is mostly legs and that’s fine by me. Cardio afterwards and then dinner which is the last of the Spanish chicken and the last of the peas. Dessert is popcorn. TV tonight is Grey’s and taping private Practice, if they aren’t reruns. I’ll be making food for tomorrow, washing my hair and getting a good night’s sleep.
Not much else to discuss today. Same old same old. Have a nice Thursday everyone and don’t forget to sweat. 1.5 days until the weekend!
Quick lunch time post

Afternoon everyone and Happy no Humping day. It’s a nice day here today but I get to enjoy it inside.
Oh well. Can’t be helped. At least I am not moldy anymore
The weekend was fine. Too short as usual. I went to t e gym for good workouts both days, cooked on Saturday, did some chores on Sunday, went to church and had greeter duty on Sunday and had a nap both days. On Monday I worked as usual and it was nutty. After work I stopped off at Nordstrom Rack and got a pair of boots. The same boots I got a few months ago but in black. They fit so well, were so comfy and so cheap, I wanted to snag a pair before they went away for the season. When I left the store, I noticed the air had a bitter biting chill to it. I went straight home. Not 10 minutes after I got home, it started to hail. Big chunks and the stuff was coming in sideways, it was cool. I took Kittycat out to the back porch to watch the hail but she wanted no part of outside. It was too loud with the hail and she hates scary loud noises. Big baby.
I had dinner and spent the evening relaxing. Tuesday was another loony day at work. I did get my invoice finished so that was good. I left work on time and had a nice drive to the gym. I met with the trainer and had a good workout. We talked about food, as usual. He had went out to Mexican food on Saturday and ate chips and salsa and made himself sick for more than a day. It may be evil, but I got a kick out of that.
Mr. healthy trainer ate junky food! Anyway, I went home for dinner after my cardio. I had Spanish chicken and some peas on the side and some barley. I watched The Biggest loser and enjoyed it. Spoilers ahead. I wasn’t surprised at who went home. She and the other older lady don’t have all that much left to lose compared to the other contestants. And my my my.. isn’t little Sam getting hunkalicious?
His pecs, arms and shoulders when he was on the scale were just yummy. Michael needs to stop wearing his headband that way and giving himself the Don King hairdo. It makes me laugh when I see it.
Daris needs to shave and I cannot wait for makeover week!
Work today is a little better than the past two days. My co-worker is still annoying the heck out of me, but at least the tickets I have to work on have calmed down. After work I am off to the gym for cardio only day then home for dinner. Dinner tonight is cheeseburger salad and sweet potato fries. While the baked fries tasted good, they are far too caloric to have often. I barely get any for my calorie allotment.
Not sure what is on TV, but I plan on lots of sofa time this evening.

Quickie before someone breaks something

Morning everyone and happy Thursday. It’s a nice clear day here today. The most resent storm has passed , skies are clear and it is COLD! Yes. It is California cold, not Midwest of back East cold.
I still whine about it, okay?
Work yesterday was fine. Much less busy than the previous two days. I guess people spend the weekends and Mondays destroying their cell phones and Blackberrys and the rest of the week are careful.
Either way, I was glad for some peace. The day was pretty normal and I left work on time. I had a semi icky drive to the gym because of the rain. I got in my cardio workout and went home for dinner. Dinner was warm green bean potato salad and pork tenderloin. I shoved the tenderloin into a la tortilla, added the sauce and topped with sautéed broccoli slaw , onions and mushrooms. It was yummy! I had the TV on , with Grey’s Anatomy reruns going, but barely watched anything. I played on the computer a bit and went to bed around 9 to read.
Up on time this morning but MAN was it cold in the house. I thought the Furball had monkied around with the thermostat! I hauled myself up, had breakfast, got cleaned up and on my way. Work has been pretty decent today so far. One meeting and no more today I hope. After work, I am off to the gym for a night with the trainer. I am hoping for a lower body/leg day. Cardio after trainer time and then home for dinner which is the last of the calabacitas and the last of the chicken fajitas. TV tonight is a Grey’s Rerun, a new Grey’s and taping Private Practice. Hair washing, food cooking for Friday and sofa time with the Furball are also on the agenda

Ten little bruises

Morning everyone and happy no humping day. Yes I’ve been among the missing. Stupid job was swamped again for the past two days. Some of it was doing way more than my share of cases and some of it was just stupid people.
I am feeling a little grumpy, but it is what it is
The weekend was nice but too short. I was at the gym both days, did my cooking on Saturday, chores on Sunday, short naps and that’s about it aside from cuddle time with the Furball. I got a letter from the insurance company which said they were not paying for my colonoscopy, which initially sent me into a fit. Then I thought and remembered that the doctor’s office would not have performed the procedure without prior authorization so I calmed down. Just a booking keeping mess, as usual on someone’s part I figured. I watched some TV on Sunday evening, folded laundry and was in bed at a decent time.
Monday was hellacious at work. I managed to get out on time and went straight home. I called the doctor’s office and they said they had indeed received approvals for both colonoscopies and they would contact the insurance company. I told them good, since I didn’t have $2,500.00 to give them for the procedures! Yesterday was also a zoo at work, but better than Monday. I actually had time to breathe in the afternoon. I left work on time and had a nice drive to the gym. I got in some cardio and stretching and met with the trainer. I made SURE I told him again that my shoulders were sore. I don’t know why I bother telling him because he doesn’t care and beats me up anyway. That isn’t the only part of me that is sore. When I was doing some triceps exercises, he had his hands on the backs of my arms. Later on I told him that each fingertip felt like it was parked on a bruise. I always hurt these days.. ugh. Ok, so then he tells me to do pushups. Not just pushups, not just man pushups, but man pushups with my feet on a freaking bench. I had him repeat it because I wasn’t sure I heard him right. I did, unfortunately. Have any of you ever tried these? Holy moley are they tough. I couldn’t go down very far, but I did three sets and shot daggers at him afterwards.
I got in my cardio afterwards and then went home for dinner. Dinner was chicken fajitas and calabacitas. Yumyum. I am so happy The Biggest Loser was back on. Spoilers coming so skip if you haven’t seen it yet. I was sorry to see Daryl go home, but not surprised since he had such bad knees. He looked great though. Miggy seems to now get what we ALL saw – how negative and angry she was. I hope meditation gives her the peace of mind she needs so much. Too bad she had to go home, but someone had to. Michael. Wow. What a muck up he made of things, but it did come back to bite him. The way to win TBL is by flying under the radar, NOT by doing stuff to get people pissed off at you! Eventually, he’ll get kicked off for this. I went to bed afterwards and slept well
Up on time this morning.. I had breakfast and got on my way to work in another rainy commute. Hit one REALLY bad spot on the freeway off ramp. Luckily it isn’t as dark as it was a few weeks ago so I could see the giant puddle before I hit it and was able to slow down to 30. It still was like driving through a river. Work has been nutty this morning, again or should I say still. I start this entry at 7:30 am and its’ now almost 1:30. After work, I am off to the gym for cardio only day and then home. Dinner is pork tenderloin and warm green bean and potato salad with goat cheese. Yumyum. TV is whatever is on.. no clue and bed early

Busy to the nth power

Morning everyone and happy Friday. Yes I’ve missed a couple of days of blogging. I came back to work on Wednesday and have been buried ever since playing catch up. I am thinking I finally have a moment so I am trying to squeeze a posting in… and of course the phone just rang.
I got to the gym on Tuesday and Thursday to see the trainer and went on Wednesday on my own, as usual. Tuesday’s workout went really well. Thursday’s workout was tough and the trainer nearly got backhanded.
Work has been nutty. New system and co-worker who must be doing nothing but reading online and picking his nose because all the work seems to be coming to me! I am very ready for the weekend! My manger is getting buried in complain emails I’ve been getting about him and she told me she wants to see them, so off they have been going. She ASKED!
I’ve been getting to bed early and slept okay except for Wednesday night when I had bizzaro weird nightmares.
Today is going better. Not sure if all the PITAs took today off or what but they are fairly quiet. I only have one bit of busy work to catch up on and right now I am avoiding it.
After work I’ll be heading to Trader Joe’s and the grocery store and then home! Dinner is meatless meatballs and garlic green beans. One nice thing about meatless meals, the Furball’s begging is contained. She begs for one sniff, then looks like she is disgusted by what I am eating and trots off. TV is whatever is on and bed at a decent time.
The weekend is back to normal. I’ll be hitting the gym both days, cooking, doing a few chores and getting naps with the Furball. Hope everyone has a nice weekend. Count those calories
The end of an era

Morning everyone and Happy Tuesday. I am writing this entry from home in my robe and slippers and it sure does feel fine. Anything from home is better than being at work. It’s a chilly morning here That is due to the fact the Furball demands the window is open in here when I am home and it’s cold outside. If I don’t open the window, she bangs on the blinds and walks across the keyboard until I do what she wants. Sigh. Cat whipped.
Yesterday was pretty much just eating and sleeping. I ate so much yesterday it wasn’t even funny, but I guess I needed it. I slept a lot but that was expected after not eating for several days and not sleeping well either. I watched TV, played on the computer and relaxed with the Furball. That was the extent of my day. The only productive thing I did was do a load of dishes in the dishwasher.
Up this morning a bit before 7am. Someone in my house thought it was time for me to get my lazy butt up, so I got up. I had some breakfast, watched a little morning news and am now getting started on my day. I got some meatless meatballs cooked and my edamame done so I am all set. I can’t drive until after 12pm today so I’ll just cool my heels at home. I’ll have lunch later, take a nap and then will head off to the gym at about 4:15- 4:30. Yes I am meeting with the trainer today. A good workout helped kick the last of the anesthesia out of my system last time so that is what I plan for today. After trainer time, which he promised he’d be nice to me, I’ll get in as much of my cardio as I can and then come home for dinner. Dinner is some yummy pork burgers with pineapple and teriyaki. I get this marvelous ground pork that is like 160 calories a serving and very lean so I made these burgers. On the side will be some vegetable soup. Dessert will be popcorn. Not sure what is on TV but I know its not The Biggest Loser… <sob> Bedtime by 9 or 10.
I bought a couple of magazines to take to my appointment yesterday because last time I was there flat on my back for a good two hours before I even got in. One of them was Cosmopolitan. I hadn’t bought one in years but made an impulsive decision at the checkout. I have come to the conclusion that I am too old for Cosmo’s blathering nonsense and am no longer a “Cosmo girl”. All that magazine centers on is men: How to get one, how to keep one.. Etc. Like I posted on my Facebook page this morning, remind me WHY I want one of those?
So either I am too old for Cosmo, too smart for Cosmo or too jaded for Cosmo!
That’s all I have time for right now. I have some serious sofa time I need to work on.

Just a quickie post. ALl is well. Procedure was able to be done just fine. Evertthing 100% normal so I don’t have to back go back for 5 years,
Now excuse me. I need to shove my face in some food!
