Almost quitting time. Been busy two days at work. No time really until now

Trainer last night was fine. She is as twisted as last one. She clapped her hands with glee when I told her my abs were sore.  :lol:  Sadists!! I watched grey’s and taped private practice before bed and washed my hair

Today I had to go get routine blood work done so I had to fast until noon.   I was starting to get cranky! I scarfed a balance bar on the way back to work and then had lunch. Been busy with weird stuff the rest of the day. On the way home, it’s Trader Joe’s and the grocery store. Dinner is the last of the veggies and apple gouda sausage over polenta. TV is whatever is on.

The weekend is the usual cooking and gym and a few chores. Church on Sunday perhaps. Nothing exciting.   I just wanted to get here and post something sicne I am trying to do better at being here

Hope everyrone has a nice weekend. Count those calories or else your gut is gonna grow to be as big as MINE!  :P

 

Morning everyone… well almost afternoon! I am back at work today and indeed was greeted by Mt. Email. Never fails. That’s part of the reason I don’t like taking time off. I can live without the avalanche upon my return but email is the gift that never stops

 

Yesterday was a nice day at home. I didn’t do much of anything other than go to the gym, do a few chores around the house and take a nap. I could have done w/o the chores, but dirt won’t wait sometimes.  I watched The Biggest Loser and really enjoyed it. Spoilers so leave now if you haven’t watched it! The 5K run was really neat. I liked hearing the stories of the people the contestants were running with. Some truly were heartbreaking. It is so nice this year to have real caring people in the end of this.. no Melissa, no Vicki, no game players!  The elimination was sad, but it was the right choice. I don’t care what Sunny said several weeks ago in her pronouncement of independence to her Dad. She was FAR too dependant on him and him leaving is a very good thing for her.  O’Neal looks great and I am sure he’ll keep at it. I think all of the youngsters from TBL are going to miss him! I went to bed right afterwards but had a hard time getting to sleep.

 

Up this morning at my usual 5:40. Gosh it sucks. I need to play the lottery so I can sleep. I got cleaned up and on my way. Commute was fine and well Mt. email did indeed arrive. So many darned whiners, you would think they were all three year olds that lost their blankie.  I will be glad to get home.  Of course right after work I am heading to the gym for cardio only day and then home for dinner. TV tonight is whatever it is.. haven’t checked yet. Not much else to talk about and I really am out of time. I stared this email 2+ hours ago so I need to post

Day Off - Thank goodness

Morning everyone and it’s a happy Monday. It’s happy because I am HOME and not at work! I keep maxing out on my vacation time so I had to take two days off before the end of the month. It is very likely going to be this way for several months , a few days off a month until I whittle this down a bit. I don’t mind having to take time off really. What I do mind is Mt. Email waiting for me when I get back.. UCK I will easily have 200-300 emails waiting for me on Wednesday

It’s been really busy at work. The big project has been slated to end on April 30th, but it is doubtful that will happen. At least the first phase will be over so that will be some relief in the madness. They never should have laid off my co-worker until this first phase was over. The people who were supposed to be working this with me have been of very little assistance. My boss has run reports and she can see that I am doing more work than I should be… lots more. Heck I knew that by my inability to blog on a regular basis recently. I have to make it more of a priority, even if it is only a short post. It helps keep me centered.

Training is going fine. My new trainer is still learning my capabilities so that will take time. She still has a tendency to go too light on the weights but a few times I didn’t have to ask for a heavier weight, so it is coming along. I’ve kept up with my workout schedule during this, just like always. I figure, if anything has to give on busy day, it will be the blogging. Better that than eating right or exercising. Anyway, my bicep injury I’ve been dealing with the past couple of months is getting better finally. Still not back all the way, but at least I can do all the exercises again.

Life has been pretty much, getting up, getting to work, working, heading to the gym, coming home, a little computer and TV time, Furball time and then bed. Repeat. On weekends I throw in church and a nap. Since I am taking today and tomorrow off of work, I’ll make the sacrifice and have naps both days too. :D I am not planning on leaving the house today at all, other than to walk out to the mailbox and to the trash can. Tomorrow I scheduled my training appointment for 8am so I can get it over with and have the rest of the day free. Tomorrow I might go do a little shopping or I may just come home and veg. Kitty is pleased I am home, but she did try to wake me up this morning.

I’ll have to read everyone’s blog and catch up on everything. I even remembered to bring my reading glasses home, but of course I am not wearing them now because my butt is too lazy to go find my purse. Oh well. If I get blind enough, I suppose I’ll go get them.

Hell week

Morning everyone and Happy Friday. Yippee. It’s a lovely day here today and so far it’s a bit calmer than this week has been so far. Of course now I’ve jinxed myself and the world will come crashing down. Sigh

 

This week has been a bear. I haven’t had a chance to even read any blogs let alone write one.. On Tuesday I worked out with the new trainer for the first time for an upper body workout. She had some good exercises. The only issue I had with her was she didn’t know how much weight I could handle and she kept bringing over weights that were too light.  I always told her when things were too light and she corrected it right away. It will just take her some time to get to know what I can and cannot do. She is younger than my last trainer, but she is nicer… more encouraging. I met with her last night again and we did a lower body workout.  It was another good workout, but again I surprised her with how much weight I can handle.  She said you are really strong.  :D  I told her about a couple of my goals, aside from weight….One armed man pushups and bench pressing 100 pounds. I told her I like to compete with the men on the weight instead of the women so she now gets more about me.  She is a foodie like me and the other trainer, but I don’t think she is as experienced in cooking.   It gives me a chance to be smart and pontificate.  :lol:   The rest of the week has been the usual. Work has been freaking nutty.  Management has decided I need to open an electronic help desk ticket for every issue I handle now, so instead of just replying to emails and calls, I have to document everything. This is taking a ton of time. Time way from the blogs! I hope once we get used to the new procedures, it will be quicker. Right now it is ponderous.  Evenings have been spent at home with Furball and the computer. Not much TV this week.

 

After work today, I’ll head to Trader Joe’s and the grocery store and gas station before heading home.  Dinner is some yummy apple gouda chicken sausages I got at Costco and some Italian peas. TV is whatever is on. The weekend is the gym both days, some cooking on Saturday and chores on Sunday. No church this weekend.

 

Time for me to post, maybe read a few blogs and get back to work. Hope everyone has a nice day and great weekend. Count those calories and sweat!

Morning everyone and happy Friday. I am very glad the weekend is here. I still have this stupid cough so any time I can get away from the phone will help my voice rest. I sound froggy. :P

 

Work yesterday was busy but it went okay.  The two people who are supposed to be working the tickets with me didn’t do one so I don’t know what is going on. I am tracking this and if it continues, the boss will hear about it.  Sigh. I am not working them all by myself forever. I left work on time and had a nice drive to the gym. I got in some cardio and stretching and then met with the trainer. It was a lower body day and it was a tough one. On one machine, my quads and knees were really sore. So what does he do?  The thing that makes me squeal every time.. he squeezes my quad to see if it hurts!  And then of course he does it again on the other leg. He went to do it a third time, wile laughing at me and said “One more time?” I told him I had a free leg and I’d kick him if he did it again!  :lol:  The rest of the work was tough.. and ended with one leg wall sit that taxed me so much my supporting leg shook.  As I was signing out for my session on his computer, I gave him a gift I had gotten him… a real nice pen and pencil set for his new sales job. I think he was surprised that he got something, but I wanted to wish him luck at his new job. I didn’t have time to get it engraved, so he’ll have to live with it as it is.  :lol: I would have had it say something like. “Thanks for the pain.”  :)   I got in the rest of my cardio and then went home for dinner. Dinner was quinoa and turkey meatloaf and green beans. I played online a bit and then watched Grey’s. I made my food for the following day, washed my hair and went to bed. I was tuckered.

 

Up on time this morning.  Glad it is Friday.  The drive in was fine and work has been semi busy. Today is co-worker’s last day and we were supposed to have one last conference call to clear up any remaining questions.  Guess who never showed up to the call?  :lol: I told my boss it’s not like there are any negative repercussions if he doesn’t show up.. what is his motivation?  She mumbled something about something can be done, but that is doubtful. I think she was just blowing smoke. The rest of the day is the usual stuff. After work, I’ll be heading to Trader Joe’s and the grocery store before heading home.  Dinenr tonight is the last of the Zucchini herb casserole with turkey and a parmesan rosemary roll.  Dessert is popcorn. I plan on sitting on my fat butt on the sofa.. okay, LAYING on my fat butt is more honest.  After all, I do have to be a big pillow for the Furball.

 

The weekend will be busy. Saturday AM is the gym and then I‘ll be leaving from the gym to head to the beauty parlor to get hair done.  Then home for lunch, a nap and then my cooking. I have to make some mini muffins for church on Sunday too.  Sunday I am going to the sunrise service at 6:30am and then hit the gym right afterwards. The rest of the day is home time and down time.  No sleeping in this weekend for me! I’ll also get in some Furball time too. She has wanted to play a lot lately in the evenings.

 

Well its lunchtime here and I finally finished this entry. Time to post this. Have a nice weekend everyone and count those calories. Don’t expect another Easter miracle and for the calories you eat not to matter!

Ok, brief update because I have no time right now

 

 

1)       Still sick but getting better. I missed one day of work last week, but have a lingering cough. This will take quite awhile to go away I imagine as I almost lost my voice completely. Good thing for someone who’s job is on the phone to lose, huh? :P I am sucking on Hall’s and Luden’s drops and taking cough syrup. I missed one day with the trainer and a few days of workouts on my own. I was trying to cough up a lung.

 

2)       The big news I alluded to – PITA Co-worker got laid off. April 2nd is his last day. He has had to write up all sorts of procedures and stuff before he leaves so he hasn’t been doing any regular work.   Needless to say me being sick AND having to do all the work has been doubly challenging and is probably the main reason I was missing from the blogs. He also has taken several days off the past couple of weeks since where he lives, when you leave the company.. you don’t get paid for unused vacation time. Starting this past Monday, two other people have been working the issues that he worked (or rather ignored) so now I don’t have to do it ALL by myself… YAY. Co-worker was a nice guy, but a freaking nightmare on the job. I am sorry he lost his job and has no other one, but I will NOT miss cleaning up after him.

 

3)       Trainer turned in his notice at the gym - This doesn’t make me happy, but I know he hasn’t been happy at his job for a long time. He is in his 30s, gets no vacation or sick pay, has no retirement or pension and works crazy long hours.  I think he was also starting to see the birthdays add up and decided he needed a job with all those things. There have also been management changes there that I know he isn’t thrilled with.  He is going to work for one of my wireless carriers so he’s going to have to start wearing a suit some of the time. Big change for him. My last day training with him will be tomorrow. I will be training with another trainer so this isn’t ending yet. I am getting a lady trainer this time. She has been there longer than my trainer and he recommended her as a good fit for me. I told him the main thing isn’t that she isn’t wimpy and he said, no way that she wasn’t. I’ve watched her at the gym and she can do more weight than me in most exercises so I’ll give her a try.  I met her yesterday and she seems nice and is a foodie as well, so at least we have something to talk about. I will miss my trainer as he is a nice guy and having a handsome young man pay attention to you is never a bad thing. :D

 

4)       Monday and Tuesday of this week I was off. I had scheduled those as days off amothn ago so I took them.  Monday I lazed around the house and then went to Ikea and Costco. Never had been to Ikea before. Not all that impressed.  Costco afterwards. Tuesday I had a dentist appoint – just a cleaning.  Took a nap and then went to the trainer. The two days off were very nice and I’ll be doing that every month until I get my vacation levels back down.

 

 

All I have time for today. Thanks for worrying everyone, but it was just life in the way.  Have a nice no humping day and don’t forget to sweat.

Happy Friday

Woohoo.. Friday is here. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far. Mine is going pretty well. Been busy at work, but it’s Friday so that makes the busi-ness more tolerable. It’s on of those gorgeous weather days that causes people to move to California.. 80 degrees, light breeze and clear.

 

Let’s see, last time I posted was Wednesday afternoon. I was feeling icky. I was tired, allergies actiing up, and sore all over like I had been beaten up. I went home after work. No gym since I was feeling bad. I relaxed during the evening, had dinner and was in bed at 8:30. I woke up at 2am, feeling very sore, stayed in bed until 5am tossing and turning and finally got up and 5 and had breakfast. I did go into work because even though I was feeling tired, I was feeling better. Work was busy and went okay. I left work on time and went to the gym to meet with the trainer. I told him how sick I felt on Tuesday after my workout in the overheated gym and his first though was dehydration. I drink plenty of water so his next thought was my electrolytes.  That is possible I guess so he said if I ever felt that way again, try Gatorade.  Anyway, we had a good lower body workout. Wall sits even. UGH.  I got in most of my cardio afterwards. When I was on my way to the gym, I wasn’t sure I’d do ANY of it since it was so warm, but the AC was finally on!  I got all my time on the cross ramp but right at the end had a bad coughing fit so I thought it was time to stop.   I went home for dinner – had chicken, cabbage and bacon and hominy. Dessert was popcorn. I watched some stuff I had taped previous and was in bed after washing my hair around 10pm. You would have thought I would’ve have been exhausted from being up since 2am, but evidently not. I didn’t get to sleep until 111. woke up at midnight, was awake for about half an hour and then finally back to sleep to be up before 6am.

 

Up this morning, got cleaned up and on my way to work. Work has been pretty busy today so I just now am getting to write. Something huge happened today but I am not going to talk about it until I get ‘”official” word.. just in case.  Maybe I’ll have more details to tell next week. I got told what happened but advised not to tell anyone  yet.. so Mum is it!  Nothing bad is happening to me so no worries there. At least not yet  :lol:   After work I am going to Trader Joe’s , the grocery store and then home. The evening will be spent flat on my butt and bedtime early.

 

This is a usual weekend, I hope. The gym two times, cooking and chores and probably church on Sunday. I’ll make sure I get my naps in case what hit me this week was a virus instead of being overheated. Rest is never a bad idea.  That’s it for me and this late post. Tylenol times

Morning everyone and happy no humping day. I am not feeling well today at all. I don’t know what is going on, but something is.  Not sure if it is plain old tiredness or allergies or what. I feel like caca.  :P I’m on Tylenol and pectin drops so we’ll see how I feel later. Hope this is just the time change kicking my butt

 

Work yesterday was fine. Busy, but okay. I left work on time and had a nice drive to the gym. I got in some cardio and stretching and then met with the trainer. It was very very hard yesterday. The AC wasn’t on for one thing and the outside temp was in the upper 70s so the gym was horrid.  I have had a sore bicep for a month and had my trainer check it out. I have a really huge knot and was unable to do a few exercises due to my bicep.  Great. I did a lot of others with considerable difficulty and felt like I had been beaten up at the end of the session. I didn’t know if I’d be able to do the rest of my cardio afterwards because the gym was so uncomfortably hot. I did it, but at a lower speed and a few more minutes added at the end to get the right numbers.  I was so woozy and felt awful during it.  I dragged myself home and had dinner of cabbage, hominy and cold chicken. It was all very good. I cut up the Irish cream truffle fudge to take to work, snagged a bit of that for dessert and enjoyed it a lot. I watched The Biggest Loser so spoiler alert if you haven’t watched it stay away from this entry.  I enjoyed the show as always and was impressed with the lady who went home. She looked really wonderful.. but please, someone give her a haircut!! The challenges were good. I liked seeing Curtis Stone… miss seeing his show! The weigh ins – wow. Blue totally kicked butt, didn’t they?   I went to bed right afterwards. I woke up around midnight, sorer than ever so I took a  couple of Tylenol and went back to bed.

 

Up this morning feeling like crap still.  Sigh. I had breakfast, got cleaned up and on my way. Took some more Tylenol too.  Work is okay and I am busy, but not too bad. Still feel awful.  Sore all over, headache, exhausted.  I had both flu shots so it’s not that. The soreness is from the workout last night, but it is really much worse than usual. If I feel like this at the end of the day, I may just skip the gym, go home and go straight to bed. I don’t think I have a fever, but I can’t check until I get home.  At least today isn’t a trainer day.. just cardio only. I feel like I could sleep 24 hours…. Yawn.  After work, it is either the gym or home to eat and then to bed. Dinner is lemon chicken stir fry and an egg roll. It is all ready for me.. just have to reheat and cook the noodles for 3 minutes.  TV is probably nothing since I need bed early.

Afternoon everyone. Not a lot of time left before I leave for the day but I wanted to get in a post of some sort. It’s important I think to have a routine that you can depend on,.. and I depend on this. It’s a nce day here today but I wish it was gloomy because the bright light hurts my eyes

 

The weekend was nice but man was it too short! That one hour missing really made a big difference. I feel cheated! Saturday and Sunday I went to the gym, cooked, did chores and took naps. All in all a very normal weekend. Yesterday was a crazed day at work so I didn’t get to come here to read much, let alone post. I left work on time and stopped off at Target on my way home. I had forgotten to buy stuff for the fudge I had to make. Big dummy me. I went home, whipped together the fudge, had dinner, relaxed a bit and was in bed too late again.

 

Up on time this morning. Had breakfast and got on my way. It’s again been a zoo today with way too many meetings. When are we supposed to work if we have meetings all the time? I’ll be leaving here in about 45 minutes to go to the gym for trainer night. Hope he is nce. My knees and my shoulders were so stiff yesterday morning when I got up, I felt 90 years old. Dinner tonight is cardamom chicken, hominy and cabbage with bacon. Dessert is popcorn. Tonight is The Biggest Loser and I am not sure who should go home. Daris won’t be happy Mom is gone. He is already out for blood against other team. Bedtime after that.

 

Time to post and get back to work. I’ll try and read a few entries. Have a nice Tuesday everyone.

Ready for the weekend

Morning everyone and Happy Friday. Ahhhhhh. The tension of the week hasn’t quite started slipping away, but since I know it is Friday, there is hope!  :D It’s a gloomy rainy morning here but luckily the rain didn’t start until after I got to work. I am hoping it is as cooperative on my way home.

 

Work yesterday was fine. Pretty normal and some what busy, but not insane. I left work on time and had a nice drive to the gym. I got in some cardio and stretching and met with the trainer. It was a good workout of mostly lower body stuff. In the middle of doing one exercise, he suddenly put his hand up to stop my legs from going over to far. Well perpetual motion and all, the legs stopped, but the ball I had between my legs kept going and I got bonked in the face! It was one of those blow up stability balls so I wasn’t hurt. He laughed and I told him he was evil and did it on purpose! I did my cardio afterwards and then went home for dinner. Dinner was Spanish chicken over barley and peas on the side with popcorn for dessert.  I watched Grey’s and taped Private Practice, washed my hair, made food for the following day and tumbled into bed.

 

Up on time this morning.  Dragged my self out of bed, got cleaned up and on my way. The drive was fine and work has been okay so far. It’s pretty late in the day. When I started this it wasn’t that busy but I’ve been on a very LONG call so I got sidetracked. I’ll be leaving work shortly. I’ll be hitting Trader Joe’s and the grocery store on my home. Dinner is the last of the cheeseburger salad and the last of the sweet potato baked fries.  I am doing nothing important tonight other than being a pillow for the Furball

 

The weekend is the usual gym both days, cooking on Saturday and Sunday is chores. Nothing special this weekend and no church more than likely. Nap time!!
