Heels

Morning everyone and Happy Monday. I am glad the blogs are working again, at least for the moment. Things have been sort of slow so you might want to write your blogs in word and then cut and paste them.. just in case the system hiccups right when you are trying to submit!
The weekend was nice. Friday I had my regular gyn appointment so I am glad I got that out of the way. She looked at my toe and said it was healing fine and to keep doing what I was doing. One thing she said was surprising. She said the swelling of my baby toe may never go away or it may go away but very slowly. Oh great. I went back to work, worked through my lunch since I took the time off to go to the doctor’s appointment and then left work on time. I went to Trader Joe’s and got all my stuff. The free sample was penne with a pumpkin sauce. Not bad at all. If it had been my recipe, I would have added a smallest dash of cayenne to give it a bite in the background. Nothing too hot, but it just needed a little oomph! I stopped at the grocery store and then went home. Dinner was the last of the leftovers. I lazed around most of the evening and was in bed at a decent time. Saturday I spent the morning relaxing and playing with the Furball, then went to the gym. I got in a good workout, came home for lunch and a nap. I did all my cooking during the evening and a few chores Sunday was breakfast, the gym, lunch, nap and then some more chores. Dinner was pumpkin chili Mexicana and a homemade zucchini muffin. I spent the evening watching Extreme Home Makeover and Desperate Housewives. I went to bed after washing my hair but didn’t get to sleep for quite some time.
I was awake at 5am this morning and unable to get back to sleep. I stayed in bed and rested but then finally got up when the alarm went off. I got cleaned up, had veggie hash and got on my way to work. The commute was fine but it sure was cold/ It was 41 on the drive in so that means it was in the 30s overnight. Brrrrrr. Work is fine so far. A few people annoying me, as well as the primary vendor, but what can you do? I am wearing heels today for the first time in a month. The toe is a little sore, but not bad. I was getting tired of wearing the same ratty shoes every day and being limited in my pants selection since most of mine are longer to wear with heels. I have my performance evaluation later today and then after that I have to leave a bit early for my regular mammogram. Dinner tonight is chicken sausage, potatoes and cabbage cooked up in a skillet and some yummy baked green beans with turkey bacon and a little brown sugar splenda. TV tonight is nothing interesting so I’ll be in bed early.
That’s all for me at the moment. Have a nice Monday. Don’t forget to sweat.

I broke a toe many many years ago - not the little one - and I recall it took a while for the swelling to go down.
Ugh, both the performance review and the mammo today. Hope both go well.

Yeah right now I can’t see my blue toe cuz it’s painted…
So I hear to practice for a mammogram you take your breast, open the fridge, gently place your breast in the doorframe- then SLAM the door repeatedly. Is that right? lol.

Oh btw no she didn’t recommend one- know of a good cheap one I can find? I don’t want to spend too much.

Good luck at the evaluation. I’m sure you’ll get stellar reviews.

I’m glad your toe is a little better
Ew for the mammogram. I go in two weeks. Ugh. I’m sure you’ll get a great performance evaluation.
Dinner sounds yummy, as usual.
