I love that old hymn. It’s something we’ve been doing even more than usual this week. I wanted to update on my DD. It’s been a week since the accident and she is doing great. She’s been back at work and at college this week. She’s still taking some ibuprofen for stiffness and soreness but she’s doing so well. She had to drive that road again tonight for the first time since the accident. She was a little nervous but she didn great. So, thanks for all the prayers and thoughts. I tried to download some pix here but couldn’t get it to work.
Mom is doing okay. For the first few days, I checked on her everytime I passed her bedroom door! :) I’m relaxed a little now but still very aware of how it could have been. I’ve done well with my eating and exercise. I took today off b/c I had extra chores to do this morning and church tonight. I ate more than I should have today so will try to do better tomorrow. By more I mean I ate some after feeling full.
We all went to the Y to exercise together on Tuesday and plan to do so again tomorrow. Even DH is getting involved. Of course, that’s b/c he wants to win the bet, but he isn’t going to. I told him that he might as well give me the money now and just make things easier for himself.
Well, that’s it for now. I need to go to bed or I won’t get up for exercise in the morning. I’m finding myself really enjoying the exercise. It’s becoming a joy and I miss it when I don’t get to exercise instead of being the chore I used to consider it. I’m hoping that means I’ve turned the corner in my thinking. That’s where half the battle is, I believe.
Oh, DH and I are going on the roller coaster yard sale this weekend. Miles and miles of yard sales down this certain road through three different counties. It should be fun. We love this kind of stuff and it will give us some time alone as well. Yay.
Hope all is well; have a great day!
My hubby and I love hitting the yard sales too! I wish we had a certain road like that, though - but all we have to do is drive around looking for signs, they’re out there every weekend!
Enjoy!
