I realized that I have not been reporting my weight loss accurately. Here’s what’s going on:

Down: 2.4 and 6.4 lbs from my 10 pound loss goal. Yay!

I asked my hubby yesterday if he’d been praying for me. Someone had to be b/c here’s what went on:

7:20 a.m. got to work. donuts on the kitchen table. The little gem donuts. Hunted for someone to shoot.  :)

11:30 a.m.-package of harvest medley candy on the table-my fave-OPEN. hunted for someone to shoot.

2:30 p. m. reception for someone in another office who is moving. chocolate cake w/chocolate frosting and big frosting roses and cheese cake. hunted for two people to shoot.

Even with all this temptation, all of it some of my favorite stuff and the fact that I’m on my cycle right now, I did not succumb. Yay. It wasn’t me, trust me. I wanted to dive headfirst into that cake. But I’ve been praying a lot and I had a diet buddy with me. Both of these things helped immeasurably. Now, I have another test coming up this weekend. We’re going to Indiana to see our Hoosiers and there is always lots of bad stuff around. So, send prayers and happy thoughts please, that I will not overindulge. My indulgence this weekend will be coffee out with my sisters Saturday morning, which generally includes some kind of gooey breakfast. The plan, though, is to split the gooey breakfast or even skip it. However, I’m going to order whatever coffee I want. That will be my treat.

I actually got my butt out of bed and exercised this morning. I planned on walking but-YAY-it was raining when I got up. We really need the rain. So, I debated driving to the Y, which I vetoed. I just don’t drive much anymore; it’s too expensive. My Hoosier family better be glad I love them.  :)   So, I popped in a Richard Simmons, yes, you read that right, Richard Simmons, video and exercised with Richard this morning. It was just what I needed.

I found a helpful tip in Health magazine this week. I have a lot of problems with bloating while I’m on my cycle and use all natural remedies to deal with it. Dandelion is a good way. But Health said to just drop about 3-5 pieces of cucumber in your water at night and leave it on your bedstand and drink as needed through the night. Cucumber is a natural diuretic. It does really work.
