I haven’t been here for almost a week. I’ve been avoiding it b/c I knew when I came back I would have to fess up to having a relapse this weekend. And, baby, I’m talking relapse with a capital “R”. :( Just let me tell you what I have had this weekend: 1/2 roll of chocolate cookie dough; one BIG piece of double chocolate cake, a small can of biscuit dough( Yes, you read that right: biscuit dough), BIG piece of strawberry cheesecake and who knows how many pieces of pizza and breadsticks. Yep, blew it big time. But, I’m not going to dwell on it. I messed up. I confessed. I’m moving on.
I’m back on track with my Bible study, which I determined was what happened in the first place. Until yesterday, I hadn’t done my study since Friday so that accounts for the down fall. I haven’t gotten back to the Y yet due to allergies but will be there tomorrow morning, bright and early.
Unfortunately, overeating is not the only weakness that reared it’s ugly head. A slip in this area only brought out slips in other areas as well. However, I’m not going to let this deter me from ultimately reaching my goal. I had a set back; I’ve faced it and I will move forward and I will succeed. A lot of bloggers here I’ve been visiting lately have been discouraged and ready to quit. But I say, no way; I’m not losing this battle again. And to them I would say; please don’t give up on yourself. Dig in with me and let’s be the next people to leave a message on the goal thread!! Let’s tough it out through this thing and become a mentor; a source of encouragement and hope to others who are on the verge of giving up! Hang in there with me.
As a part of getting back on track, I used our brand new scales this morning. My weigh-in has already earned the scale it’s nickname: spawn of satan. ;) My weigt is at 245.8. 6 pounds to go to reach my first mini goal of being under 200. I can do it. With God in control of me, encouragement and accountability from my friends and family, it can and will be done. I’m going to repost my goals tomorrow. It might help me to have them there in front of me again.
Last but not least, here is the quote of the day:
Do, or do not. There is no ‘try’. Yoda (’The Empire Strikes Back’).
I’m choosing to “do”. How about you?
Have a great day!
