I walked into the Y Thursday morning with every intentions of doing the circuit room. I was looking forward to it. I walked in and all the circuit equipment was gone! I walked back out and asked them at the desk what was going on. Seems they’re getting new equipment but she’s not sure it’s going to be circuit equipment. I really hope they put the circuit stuff back in there. Anyway, it was a little shocking to see it all gone. So, I did 30 minutes ont he elliptical instead. Yesterday was a 35 minute walk. I truly meant to go to the yoga class this morning but DH and I decided to be lazy bums this morning. :) So, I’m going for a walk later today.
It’s chilly here today. I had to put on my jeans, as opposed to going out in my shorts, before I went to get the mail. Brrrr. I received my new Bible study in the mail. It’s called the Lord’s Table and looks at food and overeating through the Bible’s point of view. I’ve done it before but it was on line at www.settingcaptivesfree.com I told DH I’d like to do it again in book form this time so I can have it for reference. It’s a good program. It has an eating schedule: half day, liquids, half day, liquids, normal, fasting and normal eating. They ask that you follow their eating schedule at least while you’re doing the study which is 60 days long. Of course, the schedule I just listed repeats itself throughout the 60 days.
My main focus with getting healthy is to have the relationship that I desire with God; to depend on him instead of food when I need comfort or when life just stinks. I feel this Bible study will be most helpful. It helped before but it’s been several years since I did it. A refresher course is always a good idea. Seeing the weight go down is just an added benefit. I must say that I can’t wait to be healthy! There are so many benefits to taking care of myself. With God’s help, I totally plan on reaching my goals.
Speaking of goals, it appears that I will be making the Montana mission trip again. We went last year and I just couldn’t make up my mind this year about whether or not I was going. I finally told the leader that I was going. I’m going as is my youngest DD and maybe my oldest as well. Please pray that the finances will roll in. I’m trusting God to supply. If all three of us go, the total will be $1500.00. That covers everything except souviners from the places we stop on the way out there and home: Devil’s tower, Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, etc. The mission trip itself is that we do a sort of Vacation Bible School for the Indian kids (they prefer to be called Indians; not native americans). We had a great load of fun last year.
That’s it for today. Gotta go birthday shopping for my sister-in-law. Her bday is tomorrow and we’re having cake and ice cream at their house on Monday. I’m making the cake. She asked for the same thing every year and I love doing it for her. Good thing Monday is a 1/2 day for me. :) Have a great day.
