Okay. It is amazing to me how God can use anything; absolutely anything to speak to his children. I was in yoga this morning, being a tree or rather trying not to be a falling tree, when the instructor told us to lift our arms and wave them like we were caught in a breeze. Immediately, I had a scripture come to my mind that talks about the trees of the field clapping their hands which, of course, made me think of a song. So, I’m standing praising God while trying not to yell out ”timber!”. What a blessing! I went home and looked up the scripture. It’s from Isaiah 55:12:
12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
I read verses 8-13 to get the context but this was exactly what I needed to hear today. I have been letting situations at work steal my joy and peace and send me home miserable. I am not going to allow that to happen anymore. I choose joy. I have so many thing for which to be grateful that there is no reason for me not to be joyful.
I weighed in today: I’m down 6 pounds from my last weigh in on 04/03/08. YAY! I’m one pound down from where I started and feel that I’m back on track. I’m doing well with eating, even though I’m having major PMS cravings. :) My sweet DH bought me some snack size chocolate to leave in my desk at work so I could have the chocolate without pigging out. Exercise is going well. I really enjoyed yoga this morning. It’s perfect for getting the day started right. Tomorrow will be the circuit room and a few minutes walking. Friday will probably be walking the track.
DH and I will be taking a weekend away next weekend! I’m so excited. Some friends gave us tickets to a Casting Crowns (Christian group) concert in Nashville on 04/19 and we are going on Friday and not coming home until time for youngest DD’s chorus play on Sunday. Plus, hubby made sure to get a hotel with an exercise room for me and an indoor pool and whirlpool for us to enjoy together. In my mind, I’m already there.
Have a great day!
That whay our God is an awesome God. Hope you enjoy the concert.
