Just another 3fatchicks.com weblog

That’s me waving good-bye to my sucky attitude and slothfulness. buh-buh. See ya. Don’t need ya. Moving on.

I fell off the wagon with a big fat (hee, hee-fat!) thud. I have been struggling for a while. I’ve been doing stress eating related to work issues. Everything just looks and tastes so much better when you’re stressing out! :)  I’ve been praying about it but have not felt my prayers have gotten very far; like they’ve been bouncing around on the ceiling or something. So, I ask a friend at work to pray for God to work a change of heart, a permanent one. So, I went to Cato’s this evening and tried on some shirts. Absolutely hated them; not b/c of the shirt but b/c of the body!

Well, chicks, my first thought was: I’m going somewhere to buy some cookie dough and eat myself into oblivion. That was my mind set when I walked into our local super store. However, instead I stopped at the clearance racks and just let me say do designers think all overweight women are grandmothers? I mean come on, some of those designs will not be on this body even when I AM a grandma. Sheeze. (no offense to the grandma’s out there: love ya!). But I looked through all of the racks and found nothing until I came across some exercise pants. Yeah, big red bus. :) So, I picked out a new pair and some plain, long sleeve tee shirts to wear to work on casual Friday. So, no cookie dough.

I have my clock set to get up in the morning and go to the Y. I’m not sure what I’ll do. The elliptical sounds inviting but my kiddo has my MP3 which means the battery is probably run down. :) Might have to settle for the circuit room.

I’m also taking healthy snacks to work; avoiding the kitchen as much as possible; asking for accountability to be stronger at work and other places. Ultimately, though, it’s up to me. And I have decided that, in the words of Kirk Franklin, this is it. No more sidelines. Life is a full on physical game and I getting in it. And I’m getting in it to WIN!!
