Its the little things….
(This is a blog I wrote on February 1st 2009. I wanted to post it here because honestly I haven’t been folloing it at all. And I do truely know that these little things are what is important in my life)
I have realized recently that the little things that made me happy are being put in the back corner. I have decided that it is time to concienciously put those things first in my life again. So here they are.
I will give thanks before every meal
I will keep my room free from laundry on the floor because it gives me satisfaction to know that it is picked up and clean. Also I don’t stumble and hurt myself if I get up in the middle of the night.
I will eat in a way that makes me and my body happy from now on enjoying each bite to the fullest.
I will take the time to meditate at least once a week to relieve the stress that I know is building up.
I will write poetry as it is coming to me and not “later” and then forgetting it.
I will write down what I am thankful for at least once a month because there are so many things and they deserve to get mentioned.
Every night before bed I will ask my husband what was the best thing that happened in his day, what he is most thankful for that day, and what was the most beautiful thing he saw that day. Because I truly love hearing his answers.
