go haunt someone else

today was…..

interesting.

Maria did a no-call/no-show to work today. In the bakers shift (3am-11am) she has the power to derail the entire day just by not showing up.  Thankfully it was pretty slow today. Sundays have the potential to be insanely busy.

Rob and I had tickets to a show tonight and I was really excited because I hadn’t seen this guy perform in over a year and not only is he an amazingly talented singer/songwriter but he is the nicest person ever. There wasn’t a whole lot of people there so rob and I got to stand right in front and the stage is only 2 feet higher than the floor. Before his set, we got the chance to talk to him and he instantly ran over and gave me a hug and was like How is your baby? what did you have? how old is he? Because the last time he saw me I was almost 5 months pregnant. So we talked about James and we talked about his constant stream of touring and how excited we were to finally get the chance to see him again. How crazy is it that I’m well acquainted with a guy who was on a major label for awhile (before there was a merger and he got dropped in the crossfire)? I think it’s crazy. Anyway the show was so great and it really put me in a better mood than I’ve been all week. He hugged me like 100000000 times. gosh.  I have a total teenage crush on him.

I can’t say I’m terribly pleased with how my eating went today. it started innocently enough.

lunch: LC Chicken Caesar bowl

snack: fiber one strawberry and almond bar

dinner: 6″ oven roasted chicken breast sub on whole wheat with no mayo or cheese from subway with one 31oz bag of regular baked lays.

after the show?

we went to whataburger and in one fell swoop, I probably doubled my total calories for today. Needless to say, we’ve postponed pizza night. Poop. I’d really been looking forward to pizza night.

We scored an 8×10 of the best photo that was taken yesterday. Now, let me explain. These photographers were idiots. They didn’t want the shot to be very wide so they didn’t want to sit the older babies (James and Veronica) with the two younger babies (Giselle and Juan) in the baby seats in between James and Veronica. (so it would go Veronica, Juan, Giselle, James) so they asked ” Can the older babies hold the younger babies?” What?! So finally, as we all suspected. It was incredibly difficult to co-ordinate FOUR babies. at least one would be doing something different at all times. Whether one of them was crying, or one of them WASN’T crying, or one was looking to the side, whatever. So the photographer was getting really loud and agitated trying to get all of the babies’ attention. He upset Veronica and she started to cry. Anytime Veronica cries? James cries. We got a photo with all four babies looking at the camera, but veronica and james had been crying. Now, with Veronica you can’t really tell. I mean, her eyes are watery but her complexion is much darker. James, however, is porcelain. Alabaster. Not only was his little mouth scowled into a pout, but his poor eyes were SO red. Melts my heart just looking at it. I wish I’d have been there to make him feel better.

Tomorrow is my last day of work before my days off.  Wooo.

I’m out ladies. I need to run 3 miles tomorrow. bbq AND whataburger. What is wrong with me?!?!
