Weight today: 196.2

The weight is coming off now and a steady clip. Hopefully I can be back to 193 soon and then head into unknown territory ie. the 180s! Eating went pretty well yesterday. I got a lot of veggies and fruits in. AF came this morning, so that’s probably why I’ve had a drop in weight these last 2 days. I plan to do a 2 mile run today at some point. Gotta hurry though because I need to go to sleep for tonight when I work.

I was looking through the biggest loser challenges on the boards. I joined the last challenge, but didn’t really get into it about midway through. Frankly, it’s hard for me to keep up with the threads at first. Then eventually, people start dropping off like flies, usually the people who just had  a couple of posts. I think there were like 5 people actively posting on my team when I started to really get involved and I liked it, though it was slow sometimes even for me. I “met” some great people there. Anyway, I didnt think I would do it this time because there were SO many people signed up…with it being around New Years and all. I just couldn’t promise to post encouragement to allllll of those people. Also it would take me away from my blog.

So anyway, lol, I was looking through the challenge and see that this time they have a progress picture page. Some of these ladies are brave. They are in their underwear for the world to see. I think this is where you know you are going to change when you post that kind of picture of yourself. I think that they know that they WILL lose weight, so there’’s no need for them to be self conscious now,  because they will get to their goal weight. So I applaud them and wish I had the same courage!

Weight today: 196.6 Hallelujah

I tried to make a turkey meatloaf with veggies last night, at some point while I was loading the dishwasher, my son turned the oven up to broil. It burned right up before I noticed :( So looks like we need a stove guard.  So I ended up eating peanut butter sandwhich last night.

I will try to make beef stew today using the crock pot (something he can’t reach lol!) I like to put a lot more veggies in my beef stew to make sure we are all getting enough, I leave the skin on the potatoes,  and I use low sodium beef broth.  DH doesn’t care all that much for it, but he eats it.

I need to run 2 miles and strength train either today or tomorrow. I work tomorrow night so today would be preferable, but I have tons to do around the house and errands to run. I’ll figure something out. Sunday is my 5.5 mile run and then next week is the 10k.

I went running this morning even though it was raining. I knew I had to go ahead and do it, or I would miss it.  I just get more and more tired/worthless as the day goes on :) I did about 3  miles. It felt really good running in the rain. Baby fell asleep in his stroller (he was covered of course with the rain cover and also in a big fluffy coat….think the little brother in A Christmas story lol) Eating was pretty good today. I’m not weighing myself right now because I think AF is on the horizon. I can tell I have some swelling, time to cut out the salt. Time for bed :)

Last night my legs and body in general were feeling really stiff. I knew I needed a good stretch so I did some yoga, and had just started doing my strength training when the baby woke up (he wakes up so frequently now at night, it’s hard for me to get a break). So I ended up going to bed earlier than I planned.

Today is supposed to be a 3 mile run.  But it’s 9am and I’m already tired for the day. We will see…

and then got up from the computer and just forgot them over the last 2 days.

Weight is still the same. I did 5.14 miles yesterday according to www.mapmyrun.com. I took my dog along with me, much against my better judgement. She is such a wild thing when it comes to being out and about. Every dog we came within 20 feet of, she whined and cried to get to. And of course we have to stop and sniff frequently along with a poop here and there. Around mile 4 I think she was starting to get tired, and lost interest in being bad :) My wrist hurts from correcting her with the leash so much, but I’m glad I took her. I know she enjoyed it, especially the ride in the car. Anyhoo, it took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to do it. I know some of that was eaten up by stopping to poop or whatever, but I hope my 10k time won’t be too horrible.

Here are some pictures of my doggies. The light colored one is the one I took with me since she seems to have boundless energy. The darker one is too lazy to do much of anything.  There are from a few years back in our old apartment.

Olive Garden…Get your pencils ready, cuz here we go. My friend invited me to have lunch at olive garden…better known as center of saturated fat and fluffy carbs?

So after having my mouth fall open at the amount of calories in some of the meals, I’ve settled on the minerine soup (1 bowl), 1/2 bread stick, and 2 bowls of salad. What worries me is the breadsticks. I just love them!

Well no workout. I spent a lot of the day worried about a tornado. All of the warnings finally cleared up around 5pm, so I ran tot he store, cooked dinner, and now I’m beat. Will try to work in a run tomorrow. Nite all.

Today was a scheduled run day, but dang it all, there are tornadoes ripping through the area. Baby and I have spent the last 30 minutes hunkered down in the master bedroom closet while sirens wail around us. And now I hear there’s another tornado in the area. So needless to say, there will be no running today.

I’d also planned to buy groceries today as I’m running out of fruit, but just as I got to the store, the sirens started going off and I heard there was a tornado about 20 miles from us going 50 miles an hour. Very scary and I hope no one gets hurt. I’ve no idea if I’m going to be able to go the store later today.

Will try to update more later.
