Recap of today and yesterday
General December 18th, 2007Yesterday: I did a lot of shopping, probably walked/shopped about 3-4 hours. Then I came home, and while I was getting baby ready for bed, the phone rang and as I rushed to get it. I slid on the floor and fell on my left side. Ouch! Hit my shoulder and then my head, and skinned my knee pretty bad (we have tile floors). I noticed that my feet’s grip on the floor wasn’t so good since I’d put on a callus remover the other day. I should’ve been more careful. I was really worried that I had injured myself more than I thought, but I woke up this morning with a slightly sore arm and knee, and that was it. Last night, I played about an hour and a half of DDR, so it was probably about one hour total of exercise. Good fun!
Today: DH stayed home from work so he watched the baby while I went running. I did 2.5 miles on the hilly course and it wasn’t bad at all. Tomorrow I will do 2 and strength training. Eating was good today.
Bosoxfan asked if I was doing C25k…not anymore. Now I am doing Hal Higdon’s 10k plan
He has all sort of plans on there, including a beginner’s plan if anyone is interested. This guy has been big in the running world for decades.

Sorry about your fall; glad everything still seems to be working!
Being around runners, I think I’ve heard good things about the Hal Higdon plan. WTG!!!

I used Higdon’s half marathon plan back when I used to run. It’s a very sensible and do-able program. You go, running girl!

I hope everything is better now. Sorry about the fall. It’s always so scary when you fall now that we are “old ladies”. Your always sore. I am going to check out the Hal Higdon site. You are such a wealth of information!
