General May 24th, 2007No exercise today and that was planned, but those 2 chocolate chip cookies I had were not!
I went to subway and asked for one chocolate chip cookie, and sandwich and a bottled water. The person who works there started telling me they couldn’t just sell me one cookie, it needed to be 2 so it would be a meal. She wanted to argue, so I said, Okay, just give me 2. It was like the old days with me eating crap and then feeling like crap afterwards. I felt so sick and I know that I didn’t need to eat both cookies and shouldn’t have asked for the first one. So lesson learned. I had nothing but fruit and water the rest of the day.

I had the same experience at a Tim Hortons coffee shop - the clerk really wanted me to take the doughnut with the sandwich and was angry when I kept saying no. Finally I took it and gave it to the person in line behind me. But now I say ‘no’ and stick to it, on the principle that I am the customer and the customer is always right! And hey - one cookie does not a disaster make.
