Goals for the new week

My goals remain the same except that now I’m drinking 1 cup of water before each meal and snack, up from 3/4 cup.
Oops - forgot something. I’m adding one new goal:
Read “The Lists” every day. This is one of my pages and reminds me why I’m doing all this.
Goal Post for Day 17

Tuesday, October 13, 2009, is Day 17 of my 100-day plan. My goal for today is to have a perfect day. Specifically:
1) Stick with my Behavior Modification program
I’m at Phase 6, described in the “Behavior Mod” page. My goal is to achieve as low a score as possible. I’m drinking 3/4 cup of water before each meal and snack.
2) Specific food goals
Drink only one 12-ounce Coca-Cola. No wine with dinner. Have a piece of fruit with breakfast. If I have tea with my mid-morning snack or before bed, have only a small (5-6 ounce) cup rather than a large mug.
3) Do one set of exercises.
4) Do two 6-minute walks.
5) Do arm stretches 8 times.
6) Track self-care tasks.
A perfect score for this is 31. My goal is to have the highest possible score.
7) Track paperwork and housework.
Just report how long I spent on each of these each day. I don’t anticipate doing any of this today - I have an appointment this afternoon and then I have to go grocery shopping. Those will eat up a big chunk of my day.
8 ) Track homework.
Report on how long I spent on Italian each day. I plan to do at least 30 minutes of homework today.
9) Check in with 3 Fat Chicks.
I’ll check in at least once a day to report how I did the day before. (Which I’m doing now so this is already done. Yay!)

Monday, October 12, 2009, is Day 16 of my 100-day plan. My goals for today are:
- stick with Behavior Modification; this week I start drinking 3/4 cup of water before each meal and snack
- go to physical therapy for my arm
- finish my Italian homework
- go to Italian class

Sunday, October 11, 2009, is Day 15 of my 100-day plan. My only goals for today are to stick to my Behavior Modification and do my arm stretching exercises.

Saturday, October 10, 2009, is Day 14 of my 100-day plan.
I’ve simplified my goals for today. They are:
1) Stick to my Behavior Modification program
2) Do 45 minutes of Italian
3) Finish meal planning through Tuesday lunch
4) Hit at least 20 on my self-care score.
5) Do one 6-minute walk.
6) Schedule out my day tomorrow to meet more of my goals.

Friday, October 9, 2009, is Day 13 of my 100-day plan.
I have only three goals for today:
- stick to my Behavior Modification plan
- make it to my physical therapy session
- sit down and figure some stuff out:
– schedule out my day tomorrow so that I meet all my goals
– do meal planning thru Tuesday lunch
I’m sticking to my Behavior Modification plan but it’s a struggle which is not right - it should be getting easier and more natural - and everything else is getting done less and less.

Thursday, October 8, 2009, is Day 12 of my 100-day plan.
Today is going to be a different kind of day. Today I will:
- stick to my Behavior Mod
- stick to my food goals
- do two 6-minutes walks
- do my exercises
- do the arm stretches my Physical Therapist gave me. My goal is to do these 8 times today.
And that’s it. Everything else is off the radar today. I’ve got a million ideas for my writing boiling around in my head and my husband is gone all day so I’m going to spend the whole day writing.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009, is Day 11 of my 100-day plan.
My goals are the same overall. My brief foray into the basement yesterday means my back is twinging today so unless that clears up housework is off the menu. (I’m heartbroken, of course.) Exercise may also be off the menu but I can certainly do my two walks. As for Italian, today I start working on my little narrative for next week’s class - all in the present tense, of course, since no other tenses exist yet in my little world.
I’ve already gotten more than 0 points in self-care so today will definitely be a better day than yesterday in that regard.
As always my focus is on sticking with my Behavior Mod and beyond that my food goals.

Tuesday, October 6, 2009, is Day 10 of my 100-day plan.
My goals are the same overall. My day got off to a lousy start since I had to have blood drawn - which did NOT go well. I’m back on track now and my focus will be on Behavior Mod, food, exercise, and walking.
I also have plans to work in the basement for a little while (housework) and I’ll be doing some Italian.

Monday, October 5, 2009, is Day 9 of my 100-day plan.
It’s a new week so some goals change a little:
- I now will drink 1/2 cup of water before each meal and snack, up from 1/4.
- I will take two 6-minutes walks each day, up from two 5-minute walks.
- The repetitions on some of my exercises go up.
Overall, however, my goals remain the same. For today, Monday, my focus is on Behavior Mod. I’m having a lousy day and I know I’ll be tempted to just let everything slide. I’ll work to meet other goals - food, walking, exercise, self-care (in that order) - but most of my energy will go to hanging onto my Behavior Mod tasks.
On the other hand, I know I’ll do some Italian because I have class tonight. ![]()
