Another cool day. BF turned on the furnace last night. Bah. I rode my bike to the train this morning and it was chilly! Still windy, so pedaling was tough, even in the easiest gear. I need a coat or jacket that’s not too casual and that’s more warm than my lightweight London Fog (no lining) and less warm than down or wool. I’ll have to shop.
Yesterday went okay at work. Plenty to do, and now I have my quarterly work to do this week. After work, I decided to get to the gym (finally). I went to the yoga class. I did alright - I was more flexible than I thought I’d be after not exercising regularly for a while. I’ll probably be sore tonight. My shoulders felt it right away - from doing the downward dog position - and they are sore already. I’m wearing my pedometer today and steps are up to 8,785. I didn’t turn it off during my bike ride or my train ride - not sure how those movements affect the steps it registers. The rattling sound my pedometer makes is starting to annoy me. I wonder if the newer ones you can carry in your pocket also rattle? I suppose keeping it in my pocket would muffle it. Too bad my dress slacks don’t have pockets.
Not much else to report. I brought my lunch and snacks today. Ate my sandwich at my desk. Getting to be the time when there won’t be anymore eating outdoors, so I’ll be at my desk or smuggling my food into the building caf (they have signs prohibiting outdoor food).
I’m skipping the movies tonight, so I might get back to the gym again.
You have to shop? What a bummer.
Keep going to the gym.. you’ll need that once winter really gets into the swing of things and that four letter word starting with “S” begins!
Just buy a water or something- then if they say anything be like I bought food here I am a customer so I can EAT here
I mean unless the place is packed I don’t see an issue with outside food.
Hm, do you have a door or something you can use to shut everyone else out during lunch? I eat at my desk and consequently never actually get a lunch. Someone always comes in and wants something, or calls me into thier office. I recommend finding someplace to hide and eat. An empty conference room perhaps?
lol@noisy pedometer! After I read that, I remembered that all too well. I wonder if a person wore it day in and out, they would get used to it? How many steps do you think a person walks in 15 minutes, regular speed?
YAY for getting into your YOGA!!! It’s a nice feeling to get into the fitness swing again. Do you have a new goal set? Or don’t you set them?
I saw piping at the store today, and it seems like it would be easy enough to make. I think I will try using it on a very small project to see how I like working with that type of trim. Maybe a muffin pin cushion…
I forgot to mention that you were right, the strawberry was my pin cushion. I wanted it off the table so I used velcro. I am thinking I might make a wrist band that I could stick it on also.
I am purposely making my sewing room super extremely really girly. LOL… I also consider my Sweetie’s opinion on stuff for the rest of the house. He has masculine decor in his office. His taste is so rich, like umm… well royalty. I like basic, functional, livable, cleanable and mostly matching. I didn’t allow myself the freedom to decorate with hearts, lace and pastel colors until recently. I’m going to “go all out”.
… What about making your guest room on the feminine side (if it was that important to you)?
Shopping is almost always good.
And FYI, I’m now committed to 16 wks instead of just 8…yeow.
