Another Sad Day
I got a call from bf this morning that my SIL phoned us at home and told him my brother had passed away last night. It happened much more quickly than anyone thought, but at least his wife & kids were with him, and I think that was most important. I’m very sad for my SIL and nephews - such a loss! I phoned my SIL late this morning and it was just heartbreaking. I also phoned my mother, who had gotten the news last night, and she was very composed. How awful to think of your own child dying before you. I’m happy to have seen my brother at Christmas, and also in November.
Focusing on work has been difficult today, but I’m trying. Before I got bf’s call, there was an admin issue that included a conf call with the boss. Didn’t need that, and I don’t really care if the admins think my behavior is due to that or not. I’m not interested in saying anything to them about either. I will leave my boss a message later today that I will be out of the office at some point to travel to the funeral, but I already had informed her of that on Monday.
Not sure what I’ll do with myself after work.

Laura I am so sorry to hear of your brother’s passing. This is going to be such a hard time for your whole family. I hope you can spend some time with them as all of you are going to need each other.. especially those little boys!
