Scramble
Thanks for the comments on camisoles! I ended up buying one at Sears in white with a wide lace strip across the top. Not until I was wearing it in the afternoon did I wonder if I felt comfortable showing lace at work. I always thought it was cute and feminine on others, but not sure about wearing it myself. Maybe it was the type of lace. I wouldn’t have thought about wearing a sports bra outside the gym, but I’ll have to try that out. Definitely less bulk - no extra layer of fabric. Not sure about the way they make my girls look though - okay for the gym, but…. I’ll also have to check out Target. MissMel, when you mentioned Newport News, it reminded me of my neighbor - that’s where all her secret shopping spree packages are coming from…another one was delivered yesterday - to our address, of course, LOL
Busy today. I was asked to do my quarterly work earlier than usual, so I’m scrambling to get the prelims done by a meeting tomorrow afternoon. Found an error the lead admin made that I’ve told her about before, so I made sure I gave her the correction to do, and asked her to find any other of the same type errors she might have made so she can fix those too. We’ll see how she responds. Lately we’re generally trying to avoid dealing with each other, or communicating via e-mail.
Yesterday bf and I went to the gym. We did about 55 min and it was a good workout. I’m sore today. Bf made a stir fry and it was good. Beef, chicken, mushrooms, ginger, garlic, bell pepper and other goodies. I like them, but they’re a lot of prep work w/ the fresh veggies. And frozen veggies just don’t seem to work as well.
Nothing planned tonight. Dinner might be chicken marinated in yogut, a recipe we haven’t had in a while. It’ll be good if we can use up the rest of the pain yogurt I bought because I haven’t been eating it - haven’t felt like experimenting with mix-ins.
Okay, better post and get back to work on the quarterly stuff.
About camis…I got one from target as well…I really like it. It’s long enough and tight enough not to give too much bulk. I got one in black..to wear under some of my sweaters that are a bit low cut.
A good way to decrease prep time with stir fries is 1. more expensive, but you can find almost all the veggies prechopped in the grocery store or 2. spend a day over the weekend for veg prep…chop what you need later in the week and store in the fridge. You will actually find that if you take the time to chop it…you will be more likely to use it…and I don’t know about you…but I throw an awful lot of produce away because it has gone bad and I have forgotten to use it up!! Just a suggestion!
I may make a thai sauced stir fry myself today…or maybe individual pizzas for all. I use the flatbread for the crust…and it really takes no time at all!!
Have a good weekend!!!
WTG on the gym workout Laura!
I can’t believe your neighbor and her “secret” shopping sprees! She really has a true problem. Is there any way you can refuse shipments … make her hold herself accountable so she can get the help she needs?
Have a wonderful weekend!
