So I haven’t done as well as I had hoped in the past month, but I’m going to keep trying to stay on plan. I didn’t have any weight loss this week, but I also didn’t gain! I have started today off with some great choices. I already spent 35 mins on the treadmill and have been keeping busy with housework. When my fiance suggested going out to dinner, I was afraid I would ruin it all. I don’t think I have the will power quite yet to sit in one of my favorite restaurants and not order what I really want. I made the suggestion that we order a large salad from the pizza place and he went for it. Of course I will be picking off some of the egg and other stuff, to keep the calories low. Yay for a good day!
Well today got waaaay off track. I fell asleep when I got home from work because I had to be there at 5 AM this morning and I was on the go the whole time I was there(I do direct care, taking care of disabled adults). When I woke up my boyfriend was home and decided he was ordering in Outback. How can I turn down alice springs chicken?! I also have not completed any exercise and don’t know if I will get a chance to or not. I’m going to try to motivate myself to at least reach my treadmill goal tonight.
Aside from the diet/exercise failure, today was a pretty good day. I found out a friend is taking me to a Kid Rock concert for free. Yay me! I also made plans to hang out with a group of girls from work next weekend. I think a big part of changing my life is going to be getting out and living more. It’s not healthy to just go to work, college and home and never have any social life. So while I did mess up on my main goal today, I accomplished a tiny one by getting a start on getting a life. lol
I am 23 years old and looking to finally lose weight and keep it off. I lost 50+ lbs two summers ago and ended up gaining it all back. I felt sorry for myself for a little while, and now I’m ready to try again. I need to watch what I eat, but my main goal is to become much more active. I want to include structured exercise and leisure activities into my daily lifestyle so I will be able to lose weight and maintain. For my structured exercise goal, I would like to walk a minimum of 45 minutes on the treadmill, minimum of 5 days per week. For leisure activities, I would like to set a goal of walking the dogs for about 30-40 min, minimum of 5 days per week. I am currently searching for more of a variety of leisure activites to help keep me active. If anyone happens to read this and has any suggestions, please share!
Today I have completed 40 mins. on the treadmill. I am going to try to push do a bit more tonight so I can pass my daily goal. Might also try to take the dogs for a walk.
