Glad the link helped! My friend (who runs marathons) told me that it only hurt in her hip when she had it, so sometimes you don't have knee pain with it I guess. Anyway she went to a running store and told them about her hip pain and they gave her some weird roller thing (I think it's like a paint roller haha) that she rolls up and down her outer leg every day and it took away the pain. Weird, huh?

Remember the idiots are necessary to help us do our work. We just have to sometimes adjust our expectations of their efforts and wait for them to catch up. LOl

Kelly, it sounds like it might be your IT band that's causing the hip pain. It's a common injury for many runners (even experienced ones) and really all you can do is strengthen the hip muscles, ice it, advil, and the like. Here's a good link on it: http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/injuries.html

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Ouch! if the pain is interfering with walking....you probably need to rest it a bit. You might have pulled a muscle or something.
