I can honestly say that I have never, ever been sore in my ARMPITS before but I am this week. Very weird. If I press too hard putting on deodorant, I can feel it. This morning, I still felt very creaky getting out of bed and wondered about my class this evening, but I feel a little better now so later I may just take some tylenol and I will suck it up. Tonight’s class is Centergy, which is pilates and yoga.
Food was good yesterday. It was interesting have a completely scheduled day off. I did get to do some extra things around the house, and had a good hour + long conversation with SBFF who recently experienced a minor setback. Watched Tough Love that I had DVRed (I heart Steve Ward). Prepped dinner for tonight since I will be so short on time. Went to bed a little early but then was up three times during the night, although I was exhausted.
I am thinking of buying a pair of Under Armour cross training shoes. One of the papers I have about the classes at my gym say you shouldn’t wear running shoes to things like kickboxing and, group power, etc. and that is all I have. Problem is, I don’t want to spend a fortune. Anyone have any suggestions?
Today’s Eats
B: Egg Beaters/2% chs on Thomas light MG english, coffee
L: Campbells Light Southwestern Veggie soup, 1 pc. double fiber bread with 1 tbsp PB
D: Cheeseburger (made w/ 96% lean beef), green beans, small scoop 2% velveeta shells and cheese
Snacks … pear, almonds
Class is at 5:30 so I think I am going to feed the kids, but eat after class. I HATE not eating with them, it’s one of my family rules … we always eat together. But I can’t see myself forcing down a cheeseburger (and so early) to run out the door to do yoga and pilates 15 minutes later. This is the only class that really conflicts, so it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
OH! The Chicken Tamale Casserole from Cooking Light was a hit! I have one complaint - there is not enough chicken in it for a dinner entree. 2 cups of shredded chicken spread over a 9×13 pan for 8 servings - 1/4 c. shredded chicken - that is, what, an ounce or two at best? I think I would double the chicken breast. It is a little sweet, but interesting. I was worried about the chiles and the kids, but they all loved it! And we have leftovers for lunch Thursday (half day of school so they will be home). Would make a good pot-luck type dinner.
Last but not least … lol … my Match subscription is winding down, and where is the love of my life?? :) I’m kidding. I signed up for 3 months only and I am not renewing for a while, going to take a break. I do have one more date this weekend. I can’t even type his name without laughing. Seriously - his real name - think long haired blonde romance novel. Ick! Can I really DATE someone named that?? But he does not have long hair, and he’s not even blonde. He is very, very nice and very respectful, which is more than I can say for 90% of the men I spoke to on there. Saved the best for last? We shall see. I am not reading into it too much.
That is all for today! Oh, need to get some water in. I think I was a little short yesterday. Hugs!

I think the cross trainers support the sides of your feet, for those kind of motions other than straight running…and runners do not. Probably need to invest in a new pair. You know, Kohls really has some decent prices on atheletic shoes when they are on sale. Worth checking out.
I need to check out that recipe for the casserole.
LOL at match guy….you never know!
