Sounds like a wonderful weekend. It could be the texture--carrot souffle sounds interesting, but carrot risotto sounds divine! You'll figure out the gym soon enough; do make sure you have proper form and ask the trainer what his credentials are. Some of the gyms (mine included) have both CERTIFIED trainers (that you pay for) and hourly 'trainers' who have no background or training and who are free, will show you a machine and give you advice, but maybe not good advice; inform yourself--SHAPE has a great book, very detailed, that you can pick up for $12 tops that shows the various machines and gives workouts (it also has yoga stuff, running, etc. and recipes) and then check out some websites too. As for yoga, take your time. It takes years to master some of those positions and some (like the locust) you may never master. I did yoga regularly for years and if any teacher tries to force you to do something you can't do, you need to find another teacher.
