That’s how creative I am feeling today.
Let’s see … food yesterday, good! Exercise, good! Did Firm Total Toning something or other, weights DVD. So today will be treadmill and pilates/yoga combo. Raked outside a little, laundry, ran to the store to get some food for the big slumber party tomorrow night (my 3 and BFF’s 3) … BBQ chicken, corn, macaroni and cheese - easy kid food choices. And cupcakes, of course!
Today’s Food:
B: Rice Kripsies w/ half banana, 4 strawberries, 1% milk, coffee
S: GS Apple
L: LC Panini
S: Caramel rice cake thingies … haven’t tried them yet
D: Something with pork chops (actually lean cutlets) … not sure
Since reading Holly’s blog I am REALLY craving a cheeseburger! From the grill. Yummmmm. I really cannot remember the last time I had any red meat. Oh wait, does Corned Beef count? Nah … I mean the juicy stuff. This is going to drive me crazy, I literally cannot remember! Maybe if it is nice Sunday, this will give me the motivation to clean up the grill! lol
Okay, so I did promise some details on match guy … I will call this one Bob. No, that is not his real name, lol. So Bob is 41, never married, no kids. Weird right? Not really - he had the perfect answer when I asked him why … I can’t recall all of it word for word, but it was good - basically holds marriage up to a high standard and never met his “soulmate”, doesn’t regret any of his relationships, knows why each ended and doesn’t have “the one that got away”. Anyway, he is a composer and owns his own production business. Writes/plays music and has done all the sound on several popular video games. Pretty cool, right? He is very VERY funny (have to have a guy who makes me laugh) and he loves animals - REALLY loves them, as do I. And he did a couple card tricks for me - which is pretty geeky - but they were amazing! I am STILL trying to figure them out! And he won’t tell me!
So that is Bob in a nutshell. There are still a couple other possibilities I am chatting with … I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket, if you know what I mean. I am trying to just have fun with this, but dating is HARD! Sounds silly, but it really is.
I think I will be changing the name of my blog. I don’t want it to be my first name, especially since I had to make it searchable in order to show up in updated blogs. Any suggestions? lol

Now WHY is 41 and no kids and never married weird? It’s that kind of assumption that really tweaks me. I wish society would quit telling us we are “weird” if we don’t conform to the married by X age and 2.5 kids. Rant off
I hope things work out with you and Bob. He sounds like a nice guy.
You could change it to - ” WIP - K311y “

My dh was 38 when we met… never married no kids… same reason. I actually found it refreshing. He was self sufficient and didn’t have as much baggage as a formerly married with kids. LOL! Now he is 48 with two young kids. He likes to act shell shocked, but I told him that he had his playboy days when he was younger… now it is time for him to be a grown up.
I hope all goes well! Good Luck!

Sorry Linda! But here is my thinking - it IS different for a man to be never married with no kids than a woman. It is HARDER for a woman to find a suitable partner out there than it is for men, I absolutely believe that. I do think it is not unusual for a woman to be in that situation, as much as a man - unless thats how he wanted to be. And I only said that because every one of my IRL friends have asked right off the bat WHY he was never married/no kids - they all thought it was weird, I assumed you all would too. LOL!
Just seems like there are so many quality women out there, and SO FEW quality men.

well, I totally get the 41 not married and no kids thing, being weird. But there is probably an upside to him being confident enough to not have settled for someone because everyone else around him did. I guess the real question is….when he does find the right one, will he want to start a family of his own? Hmmmmm….
But for now, he sounds like he is fun, and you are enjoying each others company…and isn’t that what dating is all about anyway? the only way to know if someone is your soulmate, is to get to know them….
I like the new title. I think it kind of touches on what Linda was talking about yesterday about being committed, and I totally agreed with your response.
Besides, how can you find a man, if you aren’t happy with YOU? ya know. I think it needs to start there, and I think you have finally gotten to the point where you are liking yourself Kelly…and I think that is just GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
